Now I know from reading this site for a long time that the Ed's only deal with facts and do not get carried away at stories, twitter or any other sources.

I genuinely believe that Liverpool will sign both Keita and VVD, money does talk in football and Liverpool imo will pay enough to get the deals over the line. If RBL had not qualified for Champions League the deal would have been done already. Both players I think want to come to Liverpool, therefore if they pay enough it will happen.

A left back then added and it would have been one of our best transfer windows for a long time.

One thing I am surprised at is none of the Ed's seem to rate Klopp, correct me if I am wrong but I think he has done well in his short time, he has rejuvenated the Football Club with his passion and energy, I also think he has a very strong backroom which he has assembled. Let us not forget this is his only second full season in charge, last year they played some of the best attacking football I have seen for a long time, especially Aug - Dec.

If the window works out we could have a genuine chance of the title, supporters will get stressed with City signings but remember it is about assembling a team, something I think Klopp does well.

YNWA.

{Ed025's Note - im a massive fan mfe..

I agree completely regarding Klopp. Best thing to happen to our football club in years. Has players and fans on his side and will deliver us back to where we belong. eventually.

I want to put this in such a way that it doesn't sound too negative or disrespectful, I am aiming for factual qnd honest.
You say klopp has been fantastic, however what has he actually achieved. Rodgers at times played fantastic football, and whatever anyone thinks, when your team is doing well, the crowd are always more up for it.
You say it's only his second season, conte won the premier league in his, Jose won 3 trophies and was considered to have failed due to his poor league position, however we would have knighted Klopp had he achieved the same (myself inclused to be honest) .
Money has been available, we Havent spent it, we went in to last season with a smaller sized squad, a riak that paid off some might say wifh a decent league position at the end. But to be honest, I rather believe both arsenal and utd threw the 4th spot away, not saying we didn't deserve 4th, but I think can count ourselves fortunate to have achieved it.
The broken promises, the transfer Fiasco's, tapping players up etc etc hasn't painted mr klopp in the best way, and although not solely to blame I'm sure, is risking the future of the club in transfer market.
I do support the manager of course I do, but I do not see him as the messiah either.

In Istanbul you must be one of the supporters who left at half time.

Actually Dudley I'm one of them supporters who goes to the majority of matches.
Let me give you a great example of something that bugs me massively and is a good example of fickleness.
michael owen.
When I first started visiting anfield it seemed like we would always sing that song "michael owen scores a goal hallelujah ". Like Gerrard his performance or atleast goals won us the f. A. Cup against arsenal. All of this has been forgotten about because he signed foe man utd, which let's face it at the time was his best offer, and let's be honest most of us would have done the same. He's hated by a lot of fans, yet suarez is seen as a god, and torres also. MO was very successful at Liverpool football club and deserves a lot pf plaudits for his achievements but does not eeceive them. Rodgers came within a whisker of raising the EPL title, but is considered crap.

There is a lot to admire about Klopp but we do tend to exaggerate what's happened since he got here. His one achievement is that he got us into the CL at second time of asking which was the minimum aim. If he brings in trophies over the next few years them he deserves all the accolades he gets but he hasn't earned them yet.

Its a fair point.

But if you added up the money that Utd gave Jose to spend and along with Ibrahs wages, add that to what theve spent in the last few years.
then you get a slightly different picture.

Istanbul, I don't agree with the part of "Arsenal and Utd threw 4th spot away" . That is false and unfair to Klopp and the players as NOTHING was given to them. No one saw us making CL footie last season and we were better than both teams (who spent much more than we did), scored more goals, had more points and were undefeated vs both teams (beating Arsenal twice and could have beaten Utd had the ref not missed a clear offside by Valencia) . We got what we deserved and credit should go to all concerned. Comparing him to Conte is pointless as he had a much better squad of players who had won the PL two seasons before and may have won it again but chose to use the season to get their manager sacked and take a season off.

Also, I don't think people are saying that he is the Messiah, per se. I think people are just relieved to see some progress and improvement in performances and results, those facts cannot be denied. Also, BR left us in dire straits when Klopp arrived and we were able to pick up the pieces in that season and got to two Cup finals and put ourselves back on the map in Europe again. Now did we win them? No and that is disappointing but one cannot deny that we are a much better team now than when BR rightfully got sacked.

Now is Klopp infallible? No and I am actually worried about some of his mistakes are becoming a huge problem BUT there are inherent problems with our club that pre-date Klopp and he can't fix everything at once. He needs to adapt and learn to think before he speaks but all in all, he has been very good for us. Improvement is indeed needed regardless tho.

Jose has won 3 in his debute season while Klopp bottled 2 finals! Conte won the PL title in his first season.
Fact! Like it or not!

I wasn't comparing managers tbh, just pointing out the obvious in what they had achieved and how they were being portrayed.
Like I said I didn't want to be negative, however some peoole are are blinded. Finishing 4th was great, as I pointed out, and to say utd and arsenal didn't lose points stupidly is completely untrue, because they did, and money has nothing to do with it. You could eadily say we threw points away and perhaps deserved/ could have had more. But what happened happened and that's how it goes sometimes. to point out we were unbeaten vs the top 6 sides is irrelevant, there are 19 teams to compete against, to be successful you need to beat them all I'm afraid (or u get what I mean) .
I'm not anti klopp, might sound it but I'm not. I also won't lie, he certainly isn't my preference but I'll support him and more importantly Liverpool always.
No idea why people feel the need to get so aggressive on this site, especially when people are talking facts.

The standard of squad that Fergie took over at Utd is nearer to what Klopp inherited at Liverpool.

It took him 5 seasons.

Jose inherited a squad 2nd to none and had his choice of any players in the world.

Big difference.
Look at Pep as well.
