Ceballos Hendo Kieta

That would be a very good starting midfield for me next season. Ox Gini Milner back up.

Thoughts?

It would be however why would any of the three stick around if that was the case? I’ve seen very little of cabellos so won’t comment on him but in no way should Keita walk straight into our starting line up. That boy needs humbling fast before he gets anywhere near starting. It would be insulting for the hard workers that we have.

not for me mate would prefer a upgrade on hendo if im being honest but that is my opinion Im afraid.

I would ease Ceballos slowly into the team as Hendo's backup. And go for an attacking midfielder. We need an assurance of some offensive ability to both feed the front 3 and as additional threat in case the front 3 go back to being 20 goal scorers for the year. Keita will do his usual box to box thing. But I disagree that he shouldn't start. He should hit the ground running.

He's a real grafter and reminds me of Carragher in not being that talented but makes up for it in spades with attitude and work ethic on the field.

Agree Ed25. There is always a place for an old pro or two at the club. Milner is super fit and looks after himself the way a pro footballer should. I really hope he stays for one more season. If he does he might just end up with a league winners medal.

{Ed025's Note - hes my type of player irish, never moans when dropped or taken off, gives 100% every game and is a great role model for young kids which is refreshing these days mate, i have nothing but the greatest respect for the guy..

Are we assuming that Can has gone, what about a fit Adam Lallana?

{Ed025's Note - whats one of them?.. :)

Have to agree on Milner. The "headless chicken" of 2 years ago and the limited left back of last year, has become an integral part of doing all the thankless work of chasing down the ball all over the field and putting in the hard tackles when needed. He does have a tendency to be at the wrong place at the wrong time at time (questionable penalty due to his handling the ball or own goal 😁), but he's been a vital member of that midfield in this campaign.

If Ox plays consistently like he did against City, for me Ox-Hendo-Keita
Hendo brings balance to the midfield. We need that.

It's a beautiful problem. need a beautiful problem upfront now and we will be knocking on the door for a title surely.

Keita Coutinho Henderson my dream trio
Keita Ox Henderson best option.

Hendo, Keita and Ox starting with Milner, Gini playing rotation/ subs. Ideally I’d like someone to cover Hendo too like Ceballos and then Woodburn to play the odd game and in cup games.

Our midfield is in good shape if we get Keita and someone like Ceballos in.
