There is a lot of talk about Werner who, i personally see moving to Bayern. We are clearly in the market for another forward and i wondered would Kevin Volland be a suitable option?

Not good enough and almost the same age as the superstars we will eventually need to replace - a pointless transfer.
My pick would be Lautaro Martinez, as unlikely as it would be. Superb player.

Fair enough pal, appreciate your opinion.

Move on chaps no interest in Werner he won’t come to sit on the bench anyway as Ed002 has pointed out on the rumours page.

If Liverpool play 60 games next season and we add Timo Werner to the front 3 and rotate them they would all get to play 45 games. I really don't see a problem adding another top forward.

{Ed002's Note - So Salah gets a hat trick and is then dropped? Brilliant idea.}

Dries Mertens.

Bit of a silly remark Ed 2 that would only be an issue if the entire front 3 scored a hattrick because if Salah scored ahattrick someone else would go on the bench and iff the front three all scored a hattrick then player 4 would definitely not expect to start.

{Ed002's Note - So your plan is the random replacement of players. Maybe Klopp is that stupid - we’ll see.}

Rigidly rotating 4 into 3 (as a stat of 45 out of 60 would suggest) works in Football Manager. It might work in real life until someone's turn to miss out falls on a day that's perceived to be more important than another (away trip to a title rival, CL semi, so on), or if players feel it's disrupting their rhythm.

If you look at stats, Klopp doesn't rotate the front three in the CL and PL unless he really has to. Salah and Mane had 49 starts each last season out of 53 games (Bobby started less but he had a couple of niggles iirc) . And they're clearly able to perform whilst playing that much. Salah actually came off the bench in 3 of the 4 games he didn't start, too. The only time he didn't play at all was the 2nd leg against Barcelona because of concussion.

An established front 3 with respectable quality on the bench and as backup (Origi, Shaq, Minamino) is working well for us at the moment. I'd say it's best not to disrupt it.

It's very rare to see any teams who have success operate with regular rotation. A winning formula comes from a settled, confident, well gelled group of players who don't need unnecessary disruption or tinkering.

Bring in Timo Werner. Slot him in the CF position. Move Firmino back to the AM position, and give him instructions to continue doing what he does now but with 30% more involvement in the midfield (pressing and moving the ball around) . Mane and Salah stay where they are. And then watch the team run riot over everyone. Teams would be out of their wits with not knowing whom to place 2 defenders on.
