Hi Ed001.

Lots of comments regarding who was at fault player wise etc.

I just watched a re run and for me, it was our lack of urgency across all areas of the park. We looked totally flat and extremely lethargic, no closing down etc.

You'd have thought we'd be really fired up to get the job done. We're going to have get our arses into gear because for me, the warning signs were against the Hammers.

{Ed001's Note - agreed, it was a poor team performance, not an individual failing.}

Totally agree, though even at two nil yesterday I thought we would do what we normally do and find a way to turn it around. Its rare that every player on a team is so poor in the same game.

Just wish they had raised their game and tempo by about the same ratio I raised my pints per hour intake when that 3rd went in.

hope the teams response is by dishing out a few hammerings.

Hi Drogie and Ed001.Look this could be the best kick up the backside to get the team playing again because they have been poor lately anyway. So maybe with this invincible bull out of the way you'll see us really go for it.

{Ed001's Note - fingers crossed.}

I was just confused as to why matip didn't start

I did not take the loss well goes to show how far we have come

I'm excited for tuesday to see who we start with think Jones deserves a start myself.

Would the kick up the arse not be after the athletic loss?

Well, if Matip was fit (and I'm assuming he was, since he made a cameo appearance the previous game), I think Klopp had to choose the player between Matip and Lovren that would best handle Deeney's physicality. Klopp chose Lovren.

Dezy, Klopp picked Matip for whatever reason only he can tell you. No point over-thinking it w/ o having the correct info about the team and the physical and mental state of the players before KO. Klopp picked Lovs and that's it.

As things stand, it would not have mattered if he picked Lovs or Matip cos both would have been out of rhythm and struggled vs Deeney esp. since VVD (and the whole team) had a stinker and was NO help at all to Lovs. It would not have mattered, IMO.

I don’t think anyone here has mention ketia not being fit and what impact that has, he was a 60 million pound player who can never get fit in almost two years. And if we had spent the money on someone else they would certainly have been on the pitch.

Worried me that all Watford's goals were avoidable but im sure Klopp will give them all a Rollicking!
