Would love to know if there is a statistic out there which measures minutes on field divided by number of yellow cards. I’m guessing Milner would be top of the charts. He’s picked up 7 yellows this season mostly when coming on as sub. I’m pretty sure he deserved all of them.

Does his job. True professional. I will also add none of his tackles were red card challenges. Not so long ago we were “too nice”.

P. S. he’s also decent on the field. I think he needs to start against Bournemouth.

In the EPL:
Milner - 0669 minutes - 3 yellow cards
Fabinho - 1354 minutes - 5 yellow cards

On that basis, you're right because he's statistically ahead of Fabinho - he's also provided 2 assists, 2 goals AND only committed 6 fouls (compared to Sadio's 34), made 10 clearances and been dispossessed 3 times.

The important things is that with Milner's experience, the tackles and fouls are the really important ones, the ones that matter and count. They usually break up dangerous situations for us. A lot of Mane's fouls are simply payback and frustration from being manhandled (which i agree with anyway, because the smallest sign of stepping back or showing weakness is picked up very quickly by the opposing player) .

I think milner has been a huge miss. He creates, he scores, he fires the team up. He knows the league inside out. He knows when to bring a man down. With Henderson out he's massive. I really hope he starts vs Bournemouth.
