Well Reds.

Adrian what a disappointment. It just shows how important Alisson is to Liverpool. It also highlights of not scoring an away goal, especially against a team like AM

But what a fantastic performance from us. I thought we played exactly how we all wanted them to play.

71% domination with enough shots on target to, on another night, to have won the game by 3 or 4. Which leads me onto their keeper -Oblak - just brilliant.

We had some stand out performances, thought Ox and Trent had a good game, one player really stood out though - Gini.
What fantastic game he had.

As much as I agree with all that you say there are still 2 things that stick out for me ( not just last night, but all season ) . We must pass the ball back to the keeper more times than any other team in the PL, even when there are outfield players in a position to receive the ball. A d the other thing is, what is the point of a throwing coach. Is there a worse throwin player than TAA, takes an age, and no end product.

{Ed001's Note - are you serious? Liverpool have the second highest ball retention from throw ins in Europe. The only team better than them are the only other team with a throw in coach. The end product is making sure the ball gets to a team-mate, not sure what you are expecting from a throw in? Do you expect them all to be assists?}

It can be frustrating at times, but isn't the reason we pass the ball around the back to try an entice teams out, create a bit more space.

The problem had been we've doing at a low tempo.

I still maintain that we haven't seen Liverpool play their best all season, yet look are how far we are in the league and but for a couple of errors might still be in the FA Cup and UCL, but definite improvement last night on recent performances, and a template for how we should approach teams. Need to get Ox able to play a full ninety, or have a like for like sub.

Who is the other team with a throw in coach ed?

{Ed001's Note - FC Midtyjlland (I think that's the correct spelling) and it is notable that now other teams have since hired one.}

Ed001 I thought Everton were the best at throwing in. That's all they've done all season is throw in the towel. Remember when Ancelotti was appointed and they claimed they were going for top 4 haha. Fair play.

{Ed001's Note - good point. Or Spurs.}

Cymru Red, as Ed01 said, are you serious? You are going to go after our own players cos of throw-in's? This is madness. You are no more frustrated than the rest of us after a painful loss but this is out of order. Our boys played out their skins and could have won that game by 4 goals easily.

I have watched AM play tonnes of times away in the CL and this is the first time I have seen that defensive system of theirs get ripped from pillar to post. We murdered them and created even more chances than I had anticipated BUT no, let's blame it all on throw-in's, passing to the goal keeper (something ALL team do now) or some other nonsense and start scapegoating our own cos you know, someone has to be blamed when LFC don't win. Pathetic!

Red, did you read my post? I said it was a thing that I thought had been happening all season. You can't deny, that TAA takes an age to take a throwin. That is not necessarily his fault, because I don't see much movement from players to receive the ball. My post was regarding, that I don't see anything different from teams that don't have a throwin coach. WHY do we always wait for a fullback to come and take the throw, when a quick throw by the nearest player seems the obvious choice.

{Ed001's Note - you may not see anything different, but there has been a clear and noticeable improvement in the throw ins.}

Ok terrible mistake by Adrian but Trent was under no pressure and passed it back to Adrian's bad foot. Stuff happens we move on.

LeonRed, Adrian is two footed and clears and passes balls with his right foot (the same foot he put wrong last night) all the time and even many times last night so are you blaming TAA for Adrian's mistake? For passing him the ball on his "wrong" foot? Please, clarify.
