Can I just say a big best of luck to Stephen Kenny the new Ireland manager. He did a fantastic job with my local team Dundalk and hopefully he'll do the same with the national team (This is how bored I am but I do mean it)

I feel a bit sorry for Mick, I think had there not being goings on at the FAI that resulted in a need to completely sweep out the old guard, they would've found a compromise to keep him in charge until the playoffs, and ultimately the Euros had we qualified, rather than saying "welp, Kenny has a cast iron contract from August, better put him in now. "

But at the end of the day Mick was only marginally less of a dinosaur than O'Neill, so I reckon this quadruples Ireland's chances of qualifying.

Hopefully the League of Ireland bashers will give Kenny a chance, but I suspect many are sharpening up their knives already.
