Hi ed001, one player I ever saw you asked your opinion on was patrick Berger. Used to enjoy watching him. He'll of a shot on him.

{Ed001's Note - yeah but I can't talk about him if me ma is about or she gets over excited!}

True. Good looking fella.

{Ed001's Note - aye, good player too. Worked hard and loves the club. Nice to get players like that who it actually matters to.}

I remember being within spitting distance of paddy when he twisted his knee trying to block a Viduka shot, in the game when he scored 4 against us. You could see straight away it was a bad injury, such a shame. Mark Viduka, there's a player who at his best I think could have played for pretty much any team in Europe. Kewell could turn it on from time to time, and Cahill was another great Aus player, but Viduka was the best Aussie I've seen.

Patrick Berger, loved him in the 90's! classy left peg. brittle knees! rough with the smooth. i was watching goals fromm 990 season (i think) titi Camara looked way better than i remember him. scored a hatfull some belters too.

{Ed001's Note - I liked Titi, he had some stuff, such as his dad's death, which seemed to knock him for six mentally and he never recovered. Completely understandable as we never had anything in place to help players through life itself in those days.}

Knew Berger when he played at Dortmund and was brilliant. Played only one season there in 95/ 96 after signing from Slavia Prague and after being one of the stars of Euro 96, I was chuffed to bits when he signed for us. brilliant footballer.

As for Titi, brilliant player and one of the rare players who was built like a tank BUT was lightning quick with pace to burn. 'Hope he's doing well now.

Burkeyboy
Did you not see Craig Johnston play? The headless chicken! He has to be the most successful Aussie in the League, also songwriter and maker of a great boot 😀. Boy that man was talented.

IR, Craig Johnston was one of my fav. LFC players. Brilliant footballer (with that flowing hair he had on back then) and a top bloke, by some accounts.

Yep, saw Johnson play in the flesh and loved him. But, I don't think, in his position, he'd have been in high demand across Europe, but if Viduka stayed fit I think he could have played anywhere.
