Much appreciated. Thanks mill.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate. I am trying to get as many articles done as possible while everyone is bored.}

Great article as always. Indulge me if you would Ed001. 2 questions: 1) no Raheem Sterling? I’m with you, but the English media have been waxing lyrical about him for years now. I’d love you hear your thoughts on how you rate him? 2) a bit provocative, but where was Chiesa heading before the world turned upside down?

Enjoy VE Day everyone 👍.

{Ed001's Note - 1. He plays on the left almost exclusively now. In fact he has played more games in the centre recently than on the right.

2. I don't know, but there was a number of clubs in for him and it was seen as time for him to move.}

Thought Gnabry would make the top 10.

{Ed001's Note - he did.}

Great read, Ed01. Ismaila Sarr was a player I first watched for Senegal at the last WC as he kept Keita-Balde out of the team (which is no mean feat) to my surprise. As you say, the kisd is lightening quick, pacey, powerful and brave even tho, he is not the finished article yet. After the WC, I wanted us to sign him but alas, it was not to be.

As for Gnabry, I remember him not playing a single minute for West Brom under the "cultured" tutelage of Tony Pulis. Pulis I think then came out and said Gnabry was the worst player he ever coached.

Clearly when I need footballing advice or second opinions on a player, I will run to him first and foremost.

Mo Salah is world class, scores, assists and occupies defenders for his team. I admit that I have moaned about his selfishness at times, which maybe is the reason some fans don't truly appreciate him or is that media driven.
To appreciate his true worth, which player in the world could replicate his performances if he were to leave. I honestly cannot think of 1 player in world football who could better Salah, maybe Mbappe.
No shame in coming second to Messi, good read Ed01 thanks.

Great stuff as per usual Ed. No Di Maria though, or he plays at a different position?

{Ed001's Note - just not made it. He is not that good on a consistent basis plus he plays in a weak league.}

Interesting read- thanks Ed.

I don't watch PSG but doesn't Mbappe play on the right when Neymar is not injured?

{Ed001's Note - he does sometimes but he is clearly at his best centrally.}

I must have skipped from 5 to 3 somehow?

{Ed001's Note - counting is not everyone's strength don't worry.}

ed001 Mbappe plays best down the centre, where will he play for us when he werner and Sancho sign as well. Do you see Bobby moving into defence and salah and mane in midfield?

{Ed001's Note - I was thinking one of them will have to take over from Adrian as he is getting on.}

Assuming Mane is in the left wing/ forward category, if if switched back to the right, do you think he'd get in this right winger/ forward list?

{Ed001's Note - yes most definitely.}

I'm surprised Sancho is so low on the list. The way he is regularly hyped in the press (I have seen him play only once or twice for Dortmund), makes you think he is in the top 3 in the World or something. Sigh. The media always has an agenda; you have to be careful.

And I was just thinking to myself. What a leap Salah has made, almost overnight. Went from being perhaps in the top 20 of forwards when with Roma, and then hit the ground running when he joined LFC. In the top 5 of forwards now and not looking back either. Get the right combination of factors in your favor and the sky is the limit. 😉.

{Ed001's Note - I have never understood the hype about Sancho. He plays routinely against some of the worst defending I have ever seen. It is impossible to judge him as anything more than potential until he faces decent ones.}
