I've got a feeling these Thiago rumours are true. there's a lot of noise about everything being agreed apart from price with Bayern. he's supposedly told teammates he's off to Liverpool. IF he comes I'm guessing Milner is off to Leeds. hope not I think Milner has been class if I'm honest and was hoping for another season or 2 off him. is Gini on his way out😰.

Going off Milner's comments, a move to Leeds' if they come up might appeal to him with more first team football and maybe even the captaincy. Cannot begrudge him the move if he pushes for it.
Whether there is enough money to sign a LB is a big question mark, but maybe Klopp sees Larouci as being ready or Hoever may even deputise at LB.
Thiago if he comes adds another dimension to our midfield with Lallana on his way out and possibly Milner.

Absolute waste of money if it’s true, at best he’s got one, maybe two “good” years left him. Even those would be likely to be affected by injury as he’s not played a full season without injury since being at Bayern so it’s not a good sign going into a more physically demanding league. Looks like the type of player that most games will pass him by as he’s neither the page or the physical ability to get involved. This has an whiff of Joe Cole about it and his signing didn’t go well at all.

6 times only a question mate. This is a if and a big of. So if Klopp were to sign him would question marks be raised against Klopps judgement of a player or would Klopp still know what he’s doing?

6 times im really not sure you're talking about the same player? Games pass him by? He is the player who usually gets the most touches of the ball every game, he records higher numbers than any midfielder in Germany for passes forward into final 3rd and for carrying the ball forward more often than other CMs. Also is highly rated for his ability to win back possession so I can't grasp how you see his weaknesses when those are in reality his stronger attributes.

Does seem to be something in this rumour eh? Haven't watched him that much but has a good reputation. I trust klopp and his team in signing players. Quite exciting.

As I have discussed with Ed02 on this topic, this deal makes no sense football (29, recent poor injury history, etc) or business wise (250k in wages) however if Klopp does want him and thinks he can do a job then so be it. Personally, I'm not in favor of it.

You're making stuff up now. Pass him by? Bayern's average goals conceded are reportedly 3x higher when he doesn't play (0.8 with - 2.5 without) . He's definitely more defensively reactive than he is pro-active, but Bayern's manager is desperate to keep him and that should say it all. He's an all action midfielder who gets really stuck in and always wants the ball. I love Gini and Milner but he's streets ahead of them both. As for Keita and Lallana, they aren't in the same postcode as Thiago.

I really don't see why you have this deep seated hatred of him. He's not even as injury prone as you make out. He misses no more games per season than Gomez or Fabinho seem to.

6times, please don't mention Joe Cole. It puts shivers down my spine.

His injury record has hardly been that poor lately though really. He has only been on the sidelines this season after the lockdown, back to back cruciate injuries made him miss a good chunk about 5 years ago but since then he doesn't miss large number of games. Maybe 5 or 6 league games, no different to what Henderson or fabinho miss, . He's only just out of 28 years of age he's far from finished. Kante, de bruyne, jorginho, moutinho, kroos, modric, witsel, casemeiro, pjanic, verrati, rakitic, like, brozovic are all players in similar CM roles ranging from 28 yrs to early mid 30s and we don't look at most of those players as the finished article and many of those would be snapped up for 30mil without a question. Thiago has many years still on some of those players so very likely can be crucial for a team for a few seasons yet. The fact he's played over 350 games for Barca, bayern and Spain over 10 years from 18 to 28 with a reputation forged at bayern as one of the finest midfielder players around the last 5 years means he can't be wrote off as bad business for the fee touted. We wouldn't be paying him 250k and he'd likely be earning 180k to 200 like our other few top payed talents. Lallana and clyne off the books equates that.
