He should have taken that shot instead of letting the ball roll to Salah. I'm all for team ethic and unselfishness and all that, but it would have done him a lot of good to get one into the net. He has half the number of goals he had in 2017/ 18. I'm convinced he's been instructed to prioritize goals for Mane and Salah.

They all should just play there natural instinctive games up front that's when there most lethal.

He hasn’t be instructed to do anything of the sort, that has always been his game and he did what felt right in the moment. The only thing that has changed from 2 seasons ago is that his finishing this year has been diabolically bad, if im not mistaken he has one of the worst shots to goals ratios i europe. His all round play has been as good as ever this season but his finishing has been shockingly bad, im not surprised he let salah take it because he will know as much as anyone.

Something I noticed was that when Firmino came off, he came off with a smile. If he does feel under pressure for not scoring too many goals its not showing! He seems happy where he is and I am sure Klopp is showing him the love he deserves.

I have a feeling that next season he'll be banging them in.

When people say "he needs a goal" are you really saying that "you" need him to score a goal?

He is fine, not seeing signs of becoming disengaged.

silly to think he is instructed to leave the ball for Mo or Sadio. its obvious he see's things one step ahead and knew Mo was in a better spot to bury the ball. the guy is magic his football intelligence is out of this world.

Keitas ball was perfect for him, instead he allowed a oncoming Salah to strike it on his left foot. This is why his stats may not look amazing but what he offers to this team is so important.

Spot on, Kloppers and Faithworks. It seems that people say Bobbie needs a goal just as projection of their need to see him score. Not sure any of the players or Klopp care that much.

Bobbie is not that interested in scoring at all costs> He is more interested in the team's success hence, why he would rather allow Salah to score that goal rather than trying to get to a 50/ 50 pass and fluffing his lines.

Also for henderson goal, bobby receives the ball in middle 3rd, turns and plays a quick sharp ball forward to salah on the attack which leads to hendo goal within a second or 2. Both goals he will not be credited with creating but first goal he selflessly sees the chance is slightly better for salah to attempt, 2nd goal he moves the ball quick and direct to prevent Brighton any chance to re organise.

Many strikers would slide or stretch with blinkers on to try score the 1st, then the 2nd we often see a player take an extra touch or dribble forward instead of the sharp decision bobby made. 2 goals he won't get any applause for but they're the perfect examples of how he makes us better and more in tune than others could. Mane goal vs palace he also makes the previous move prior to the final assist. His goals always come in the tougher big games.

This season so far 8 of his goals have been match winners, often away against top sides, Southampton, Chelsea, Crystal palace, spurs, wolves his goal was the difference between dropping 2 points each time. Also CWC semi and final his late winners single handedly won both games while he scored twice in huge game at the time at Leicester boxing day while his goal should have been the winner late on against Atletico Madrid. That's a huge impact on what we've achieved this season.

Half of his tally this year have been after 80th minute while 8 of his 11 goals were winning strikes. In the season he scored 27, only 5 were match winners. I'd much rather a striker who gives his goals at times we desperately need one as opposed to a striker racking up prolific numbers while not having as many of his goals directly changing a result.

The picture is bigger than people see when overlooking firminos importance to us. 12 assists to add to that also yet people only discussing his lack of home goals or failure to be in hot form scoring each week.

Fact is that it's more difficult and more valuable to have a player with a strong record away from home as those games are tighter and harder to grind out a win so his away record is far more influential than people realise when they mention his home record in comparison as some sort of criticism.

Players like Bergkamp, totti, cantona could have seasons without prolific scoring rates yet be appreciated for what other quality they offer. I accept neutral or opposition fans not watching firmino enough to analyse his game but I can't get my head around Liverpool fans who question his level and have the impression that his season and last year were a big drop from his 27 goal season.

10 or 11 goals were in Europe that season and not crucial game changers like this term. Also hat trick, penalties or notching in routs would give him the numbers that people crave despite not effecting much difference in a season. Lukaku would always get great numbers but so often scoring when the need for goals isn't as important. Higuain, icardi, soldado, morata, martial, falcao could always look lethal or crucial going by their numbers but also their lack of other quality can damage the team.

It's funny how bobby has apparently been off the boil ever since we've reached higher levels but was twice the quality when we were competing for top 4 and 20+ points behind city. His contribution has been nothing less than superb in our journey to the top and We can't take him for granted ever.
