We need a midfielder who has the character and personality too come into the side and have the same impact as hendo if he is injured, this is also very important as hendo is in his 30s and the way he puts his body on the line is admirable but injuries could be a possibility. I would like too think we already have the answer at the club but if we don't it needs addressing.

OP, is your post referring to today's game or are you just speaking your mind, in general? Also if you think we have this midfielder already at the club (whoever that is), could you pls, mention who that midfielder who is already at the club is?

No not referring to today's game as we should of won with the chances made . Henderson is very important in a way only a liverpool fan would appreciate too how our midfield works whilst keeping others on there toes. Milner has them qualities but I have a feeling he might go to leeds if they come up and he is not a long term solution .
My big hope is that curtis jones could develop into that sort player I like his attitude and he was captain of youth teams . It seems we are weaker when hendo is injured so as champions we need too either cure that weakness in the transfer market or from within the club .

Actually thought the midfield lost control of the game when Jones got replaced for keita today. Not saying it was purely down to Jones but maybe the three working together better than fab wij and keita did.

We have the best 11 in the world. But when you replace 1/ 2 with the squad players, it drops dramatically.

You hit the nail firmly on the head there liverpoolfc8 that's my point other teams can cope why should the champs not be able too do that.

TAA to replace Hendo is obvious to me. In time.

Hailstones, had we taken our chances, your whole midfield narrative would not arise, IMO. We created enuff chances in the first half alone, to be out of sight and it was this midfield that was helping to create these chances that were fluffed and Jones could have score a goal as well so you point about the issue being the midfield, is strange to me.

{Ed001's Note - I thought Jones was excellent.}

I thought Jones played well. He's still young and gaining experience. I have no doubt that with more experience, those same chances will be goals. Scoring is not as easy as some people seem to think. I like the idea of TAA eventually in that box to box role personally.

Jones and Williams looking good. high hopes for Elliott and hoping Brewster comes good when he returns. however, one or two players to come in and provide even more cover and competition would be ideal. I know finances maybe tight, not expecting us to spend silly money. im sure there are one or two Robertson like bargains out there.
