Is it really 43 years? I remember his debut at Brighton, what a game the lad had.

I am Barry, i was joking mate. I was about 8/ 9 when I started following Liverpool, and Kenny was still playing, maybe player/ manager times. Apparently my life is about to begin very soon!

Just been watching Kenny’s first ever hat trick at Wrexham in a 5th round League Cup tie on 17/ 01/ 78. It’s on YouTube, look it up.
The state of the pitch, like a farmer’s field.
And the state of Phil Thompson, he’d just had his perm done and ran out to loads of abuse as you can imagine 😃
Happy days.

I'm much closer to 50 than 21 Barry mate! Never thought of it like that. Much closer.
John Barnes was the man when I first started following the reds. He was so good, completely idolised him.

Ive watched lots of documentaries about our history of course. Seen the clips of Kenny joining, and our hey day. I just can't believe it was so long ago. Waited a long time to be back on top. Pretty much 99% of my time as a Liverpool supporter has been spent yearning for the league title. It was so amazing when we finally got over the line. Over whelming. Totally made up for all those near misses and disappointments. I think we have a team in its prime, they know how to win things and they're among the best teams in the wofld. We went out of the cl pretty early but obviously we were prioritising the league.

Robbiesline, didn’t he make his debut v Utd in the Charity Shield? I think I was there as an 11 year old!
