Kounde looks the better player of the 2 Centre Backs. He's the one Klopp should be looking at. And he's younger, so a potential VVD replacement down the line.

Are any clubs looking at Kounde Ed’s? Small sample size but he’s looked accomplished in the games I’ve seen. Especially with the lack of centre backs around right now.

All players have bad games. Not seen him much. I know that klopp is looking for a first team cb, but I don't know that means he's to replace gomez. It's to replace lovren isn't it? who was classed as a first team cb. 60mil seems a lot though. 15mil less than virg. And he's given away 3 pens in 3 games. Has vvd ever given away a pen?

Diego Carlos was responsible for both Inter goals. The penalty and the foul that led to the goal. And he owes Lukaku dinner for that assist on the own goal. Clearly not a composed, calm player. No thanks. Will happily take my chances with Gomez and Matip. Bring in a 4th choice for CB from the U23's or buy one, if possible.

realtofel, I thought I was the only one who saw that Kounde looked the better CB than Carlos. I will take Ed02's view that Carlos is a good player and may have just been struggling during these EL games and I am open to believing that but good grief, the guy is poor in the challenge, decision-making, lacks positional sense hence his CB partner, Kounde has to frequently cover for him.

We don't have the money so as Ed02 said, won't be worrying my pretty, little head about that BUT my oh my, Carlos dies not look anywhere near a 65m pound player, based on the EL games I have seen.
