Probably the worst injury we could have gotten but on the flip side, do we now have no option but to revert to the crazy attacking style of the pre-VVD days? Because, now that we have won the league and Champions League, I got to say, that 17/ 18 season was the most exciting attacking football I’ve ever seen.

OP, I disagree. We stopped playing that way 2 years ago and that change is what has gotten us here. That season was great BUT it got us NOTHING cos we were physically shattered hence, we changed the system and approach that got us the Big Trophies. No way are we going back there, IMO cos clearly, it does not work. I think we will go a bit more pragmatic for the most part due to our defensive issues for the time being while at the same time being capable of blitzing teams whenever the opportunity presents itself. Just my take.

Iy got us into the champions league RM. And we very nearly won it.
