Pretty irrelevant post this, but watching arsenal got me thinking about Pepe. Remember we were all dying for him to be signed, loads criticised the club for not spending big on him or others. Jota has scored more goals for us than Pepe for arsenal and I know there different positions but it's still a remarkable fact.

Point is, trust this club and trust our staff know what they are doing. We have all waited a long, long time to be back on top, let's enjoy the ride while it lasts!

Had never seen Pepe play so I wasn’t overly fussed when he was mentioned. However to tell the truth I wasn’t exactly excited when we were linked to Salah (after his Chelsea spell) and yet another Southampton player in Mane and look how they turned out. Goes to show how fans excitement over a transfer have very little to do with how it turns out. Back on the subject of Arsenal that Partey looks the part. He looks like he would fit very well into our squad.

So true JK. Haven't seen much of partey yet but I know he's highly rated! Always like Torreira at arsenal but never seemed to get games, thought he would have suited the way we played!

Seen him play on weekend against utd. Yes it’s only 1 game but he looked very good. He was everywhere and looked very good on the ball passing and running with it.

Partey played very very well against us last season. He would of done well in our midfield but oh well. Such is life. As for Pepe, I'm sure klopp would of made him into a very top quality player. I truly believe the klopp factor makes the difference with a lot of these players he really does improve players.

Pepe may have been great for us. With a different coaching et up and different tactics. Who knows. I know he ain't scored loads but he's a decent finisher Pepe. I wouldn't swap him for jota though, not in a million years.

I wasn’t dying for us to sign him. Said at the time, one season wonder who had one fluke season. Stand by that remark.

I don’t think anyone was dying to sign him when they found out how much Lille wanted, Arsenal paid 3/ 4 times what he is worth.

Who knows what would have happened had we signed him tho. Hard to say. In general we seem to do well with our signings.

Mate of m I ne said I was a 40mil Am who can tackle. Can play left back and left wing and cf. All to the same standard (with is pretty poor) if unt want

I was a Cf at this club BTW. Keep em guessing.

I was never arsed about Pepe that much cos he had just had one good season in the French league before after I think going out on loan, before he got his move. Normally, I am always unsure of such players being signed after their first and only good season.

On the other hand, Ndombele was amazing in his first season in the French top division and I would have signed him in a snap as he was that good and his overall ability is higher than that of Pepe's, IMO.
