If at all possible, I think Mane needs a rest mid week.

Let minimino or Origi have a run out.

Can't be having any more injuries to key players, wrap him in cotton wool.

Play best team tomorrow and then you have two CL games you can rest key players which gives them two x one week breaks between games in December.

no chance 1jj we are down to the bare bones, we can't afford any risks. A point tomorrow is good imo. Mane, Matip, Robertson, Gini, Allison, Jota, Fabs none of them should play if at all possibe. Maybe 1 of the cb's has to play but I won't look forward to it.

I’d go with
Alison.

Williams, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson.

Milner, Gini, Jones.

Mane Firmino, Jota.

If ahead or level at half time make some changes then with Saturday in mind.

Markp08 - Alisson should play until we are through. Adrian is not good enough to be playing in competitive fixtures, wait until we are safely though and then we can risk putting him in goal.

I'd change most of the 11 that destroyed Leceister. We've essentially qualified for the next round of the Champions League and we need to protect the players especially as the weekend game is disgracefully and early kick-off. Allisson is fine in goal, although I don't mind Adrian to be honest for this game. Neco, Rhys, Fabinho, Kostas for my back four. I'd give a debit to Clarkson/ Jake Cain in the middle, guided by Milner and supported by Curtis, although I don't see this midfield happening! In attack, I'd play Origi and Minamino alongside Salah.
We have 5 subs in Europe, so we can easily tweak things if we need reinforcements.

Barcelona was going on two years ago, hate being negative about Lfc players butthe bloke is just not good enough to be in this squad at this stage. He's 7th choice attacker for christ sake and if Elliott was around i'd give preferto give him minutes aswell.

If Origi wanted to leave or if Klopp wanted him gone, he would have been gone already so pls, leave Origi alone as that is not even the subject of the thread.

Regarding who to start, I see both ways as there is a need to play Mane and there is also a need to rest him. Klopp could start Mane and then take him off for Salah or Bobbie esp. since we have 5 subs to work with.

All in all, I think we need to get a result tonight cos if we do and esp. if we win, we are through and then we can play the fringe/ reserve players for the next two CL games.

You all do realize that players can come off the bench, nothing wrong with Bobby, Jota and Mane on the bench and Salah, Taki and Origi up front. Also if Shaq is available I would give him a start in midfield.
