Since leaving Anfield Coutinho has won two la liga titles, the Spanish cup, the German cup, bundesliga, champions league and two supercups.

What is your point?

That's why he cost 142 million - I think Liverpool got the better deal!

Yet none of the clubs he “won” those honours with want him at their club.

Rhian Brewster also has a UCL medal.

In fairness I never realised he’d won that much. I’m not bitter towards him for leaving even though the way he went about it was wrong. So well done to him on collecting al them winners medals. Since him leaving We have been able to use those funds to make us a world class team. As they say you can’t put a price on happiness and Coutinho’s price might be all those medals but he’s not looked happy (on the pitch) since leaving.

My point was he’s been a failure yet still racked up an enviable medal collection! Yet a genius like Roberto Baggio won hardly anything. Coutinho might yet even win the World Cup. Just made me wonder is there any purpose to anything. Life is just a nonsense. But so it goes!

Being considered a failure in this context is relative. Cou has been very successful in winning the trophies he has one as being a part of teams that won them. That is success, end of story.

Whether he is loved or not, depends on whether Cou cares if he is loved or not. Balotelli has won The treble and everything with City and multiple other trophies. Is he loved? No. Does he care? No. So in the end, it is all relative.

He’s a snake who gives a rats about him he got his dream
Move and it was a horror show glad his back is ok!

The medals won in Germany were only because the club he left for didn’t want him.

The most interesting point in in all of this is that couts was sold for 142 mil soo how much would Salah be worth?

Since he left we won the CL and the PL in consecutive seasons. win win.

Klopp boom. what a horrible thing to say, he's hardly a failure is he. Complete lack of respect for a human being and an ex red. I hate the way people are discarded these days. Yes he left rather badly but he still played for our team. Have some respect. It's only a game at the end of the day and I think what's going on in the world puts that massively in perspective.

Also just to correct, he didn’t cost anywhere near 142mil. That was sly sports doing what they also do - report the max fee possible with all add ons.

Think Ed said we got more like 90mil for him. Still not to be sniffed at mind.

Nobody on earth is a 'failure' and Coutinho is far from one. He's somebody who has made mistakes (who hasn't? ) but gone on to win trophies elsewhere, good for him.

I find people classing others as a failure is a disgusting attitude to have. We all have obstacles and struggles etc but nobody is a failure.

Salah
I beg to differ that no one on earth is a failure. As an American I honestly believe Trump is.

Sorry bout the politics but I needed to say that.

Cheers
Matt in FL.

420FL, I doubt he'd consider himself to be one. Call him what you want, he didn't become president of the most powerful country in the world from been a failure mate.
To avoid confusion, I can't stand the man as much as the next.

Just to be clear I meant that the transfer has been a failure so far, clearly Coutinho himself is winning at life. Good for him. I was just remarking that it is funny how things work out sometimes. Incidentally, had Liverpool beaten Madrid in 2018, he would have got a medal for that one too!

J6 respect, what respect did he show to us, didn't want to play, pretending to have a back injury always angling for a move to Barca? And as you say it's only a game, a game were these players get made millions of pounds, so wind your neck in and and stop feeling sorry for a pampered player who doesn't care about you.

Jim the red, it's called being a decent human being. Yes he may of left in the wrong manner but that doesn't mean we all have to hate him. Do you hate VVD? It's all about perspective my friend. Try not to hate so much. happy Christmas.
