Just read that Gini has now rejected contract offer. Not sure how true it is but will be sad if he go's.

I can't see him staying. If he goes then thank you so much for your contribution to Liverpool and the very best of luck at your new club.

In all that’s going on in the world and peoples opinion on the team. It’s always good to see Barry come in with a positive reply.
I’ll second that mate, and a thank you to you. Keep up the good work.

{Ed025's Note - thats why hes the No1 poster gaz..

Completely agree with you Barry. Good player in a steady reliable sense. But also for me he keeps too much in his locker. If we are going to continue to use a 4-3-3 formation as we have for the last 2 years minimum I can't see a place for him regularly. Hendo, thiago and fab all day long. He shouldn't get in above any of those 3. Curtis Jones to play incase of any injuries.

Very kind words lad's and Ed025.I can never be angry at a player leaving I always look at what he's given to the club then it'll be either be best of luck or good riddance. I like you Magico feel as though we have only seen the real Gini in the last few weeks for whatever reason I can't tell you.

Is this the Barry appreciation thread? Wondered when he'd challenge Salah for the top spot :)

I remember when we sold Ian Rush and Graham Souness.
I don't think I'll remember Wijnaldum going. The two goals against Barcelona and his celebrations maybe but he's just an average player at a golden time.
Very replaceable.

I can't believe I spelt Graeme Souness wrong!
Bloody predictive text.

I agree with the sentiment on Wijnaldum if he does leave. Thanks for being a key part of what we’ve achieved recently and good luck for the rest of his career. He must have made more appearances than almost any other player in what has been the most successful period we’ve had in over 30 years.

The problem though is that we lose a key player for nothing, whilst he still seems to be pretty much at his peak, who we don’t really have a like for like replacement for. To replace him with a new signing that comes in and does what Wijnaldum has been doing for the last four years is probably a large transfer fee. With that in mind and given that money for new signings could be tight for the foreseeable future, I think I could see the sense in just giving Wijnaldum what he’s asking for (obviously I say that without having any idea what he is asking for) .
