Why have people suddenly given up on Minamino? Was he not supposed to be the Bobby replacement!

I’ve not given up on him. His last game in a red shirt that I can recall was against Palace and he was great. In Ed002’s words, I think he’s a nifty player, lots of skill and plenty of intelligence on the ball. Well worth keeping and persisting with if you ask me.

Minamino hasn’t really been given a chance. So it’s not fair to write him off.

The Minamino idea was to develop his raw talent into a Bobby replacement gradually. But Bobby has nosedived and we can no longer wait!
I expect us to sign a proper goal scoring Center forward.

He won't get a look in once Elliot returns from loan and we sign another higher quality forward that Klopp seemingly wants.
Do u honestly expect Taki to stick around to be a 6th/ 7th choice forward at the club?
And honestly, I don't see what the fuss about Taki is. Looks no better than Shaqiri imo.

The only person that doesn’t have to give up on him is Klopp. It was weird though after the Palace game where I thought he played well, was that in the next 7 games he only featured in one of them and for 6 minutes before being sent on loan to Southampton.

Similar to Bobby and Mane, lots of fans have their suitcases packed and ready to ship them off. But if Klopp wants them to stay then we all know what the outcome will be.

We were in dire need of players and Klopp chose to farm him out to Southampton. It’s a long road back for him now.
