Potentially meltdown incoming depending on the result of this super League announcement.

I've always been a LFC supporter but I really really don't have any interest in watching them play in a competition like what's been rumoured.

Will try and hold off until something has actually been announced.

Well of course you get a say Jay, we all do. If anyone doesn't want to watch a team play in a tournament, they just don't watch them. I won't be.

I'll be buying a season ticket at my nearest club (Wigan) if this goes ahead. I have sod all interest in watching Liverpool play foreign clubs every single week. It's a dreadful idea.

The problem for our generation is that the kids now will grow up thinking the new league is the norm. Ever since Ed 002 mentioned it on here a few years ago I have been dreading it. The squad you will need would be massive.

{Ed002's Note - Overall there would be less games because the clubs would be thrown out of their domestic leagues under this plan. I suspect the "elite" sides will also raise the issue of multiple club ownership again and try and get that really sorted out (not just Monaco owning Cercle Brugges, or any tie up Liverpool will now have with Toulouse, but the much larger City Football Group situation. I would also expect a huge push from some leagues, and perhaps clubs, to say with the pandemic the timing of this is very poor.}

I think you always felt a European league to be an inevitability Ed002?
I was dead against it when you first mentioned it but my resistance is now tempered somewhat by the way the ‘smaller’ (and I say that with tongue in cheek) clubs acted in almost getting the PL voided and refusing extra subs over this past year or so.
All the clubs look at their own interests first, this is just another example sadly?
