Morning
Eds1 or anyone else am just wondering if you’ve watched mino at Southampton at all. How’s he been getting on.
Also with all the names people have been throwing around lately would you keep mino instead of the ox. He’s younger, fitter, lower wages, less injury prone?

{Ed001's Note - I haven't seen any of him but I would keep him, I don't think it should be an either/or thing with the Ox though. The decisions should be taken on their own merits.}

Longthing despite a good start at Southampton Mino has been very much in and out of their first team the last few months. In their last 9 he’s started 3 and come off the bench in 1. Then he’s been unused in 5 of those games.
I’ll be honest I’ve only seen highlights of him when he has played and haven’t watched a full Saints game. I’d like to see him get another chance with us but for me it was strange how Klopp seemed to disregard him after the Palace game and then allowed him to leave on loan despite Jota still being injured at the time, our front 3 struggling for goals and Origi bringing nothing to the party. If Mino can’t get game time when we are at our worst then how will he if we get back to our best.

He did an interview a few weeks back and stated how the loan was a big surprise, even he didn't seem to be expecting it.

Saints seem to have lost their way a bit, according to Ed01 so that may be having an effect on Mino. And I agree with Ed01, I would keep Mino too.

ed001 I had big hopes for Minamino but I think his time at the club is done. We have far to many first team squad players that don't play enough games to keep. Ox has been fit for a good bit now ed and I don't know why he has not been given much game time. for me ed Minamino Origi Shaq and harry Wilson I would be happy for all 4 to go don't know what we would get for them but must be around £40m+ and a 1 good Striker to replace them all would good business don't know how many minutes they have played between them over the last 2/ 3 season but I don't think it will be a great deal. I hope we keep are front 3 and with Jota Elliot coming back from loan and a new striker that would be perfect for me.

{Ed001's Note - surely better 'business' would be to offload Origi, Shaq and Wilson and just keep Minamino?}

I just don't think his going to stay ed don't think it has worked out for him ed and with all the trouble we have had this season I don't think Klopp would have loaned him out if he was in his long term plans with how things where at the end of January. At 26 ed he does not need loans needs a club to settle down for his prime years.

{Ed001's Note - he needs to settle in England, that is the problem.}

Ed1 is Mini not to lightweight for the premiership? What as he done to prove he belongs at Liverpool?

{Ed001's Note - why bother asking a question when all you are going to do is shout anyone down who disagrees, even though you are, as usual, talking complete kack? It is pointless me answering you, waste of everyone's time as you won't take any notice unless it agrees with you blinkered viewpoint.}

Spot on, Ed01.

Better business would be to offload the four of them. Through either ability or injury record or workrate none of the four are up to it. Buy one player who'll actually have an impact nd bring elliott back. The likes of Gordon and Musialowski can also makes up for the likes of Origis impact. Taki might be a likeable humble person but if people are being honest he's being as bad or even worse than Keita when he has being on the pitch, and that includes his time at southampton.

There's a good player in there somewhere, I hope he can get any help he needs to settle.

There was one goal Mino scored where he took a touch in the box which essentially faked out the defender and froze the keeper which brought him a second tog et a shot away. There is definitely a player there but he needs to grow the rest of his game to match what Klopp needs. I thought he'd do well in the Bobby false-9 role.
