How do you see summer panning out with strength if the squad? CB in? 1-2 midfielders and any of front 3 replaced if one leaves?

Also do you see ox playing or being developed more as a number 9 and that’s why he’s not playing so much until he learns the role or is he just to injury prone to rely on?

I think we need a cb, Cm and cf and would be happy if we got all 3.

Think we need someone who can play in Fabinhos position as that is where the squad is really lacking in cover. If they can play slightly further forward and cover another one of the midfield positions that would be ideal. This would also allow Fabinho to drop back to CB in case of emergency and not throw the balance of the team.

Definitely need a clinical forward, ideally someone with a physical presence too for when we are chasing a game. With Trent in the team we need someone capable of making use of his crossing ability.

If we get all 3 and lower the squad age a little bit I’d be very happy and would think we would be back challenging again next season.

I'd like 1 cb, think two mids moving kieta on, I'd like ox to be given a shot at that false 9, he's only had about 20 minutes playing it but he's looked bright and has bags of talent just those injuries.

I'd still like an option too maybe a giroud but not sure he'd go for a bit part.

Actually we don't need to spend a buck and i know honestly believe that.
We needed a defender and i think Nat has solved that for us. So if matip stays we don't need a defender. So if no one goes, no one is needed and am quite happy with that.

With midfield we know we have some surplus mids in keita ox wilson grujic milner.
With hendo fab and thiago as starting mids and jones as backup i see space for one brand new mid. Most on here suggest bissouma which is not my choice. I want someone more attack minded more creative, some one like boom. And like de paul for that. As for bissouma id keep grujic. He did at hertha what bissouma does for brighton

Attack well its nice to see bobby scoring. Salah is irreplaceable. mane well we have effectively replaced his goals with jota and we also will have elliot back. So i think we can afford to sell him if a good price is there but it be best to stick with the trio.
We already have shaq minamino ayinowi and origi in surplus. Sell 3 keep one if needed
So if no sale of mane we don't need no new player.

So for me defense if matip goes get in a player else its ok.
In midfield if we can sell the 4 extra we have then get in a player else its ok.
In attack sell 3/ 4 surplus. If mane is sold get someone new else its ok.

So the general theme is if we sell players we need a player in CB MF AND ST

Otherwise the first 11 picks itself.
We have jota elliot neco philips and milner/ ox/ grujic/ and whoever we can't sell as bench.

I really don't see Ox or Milner leaving. Milner will retire here. Ox has just had a baby with his missus who is a born and bred scouser. Can't see her wanting to leave Liverpool (the City), and i don't see Ox wanting to leave Liverpool (FC) either. He only signed a bunper contract a year ago. Milly and Ox also count as Homegrown so highly unlikely that Liverpool will actively try and move them on when you also consider how big they are in the dressing room in terms of character.

Probably all the loaned out players will for sale except Elliott who will definitely be in the first team squad next year.

Adrian, Davies, Matip, Keita, Wijnaldum, Shaquri and Origi are the only players in our first team squad i think we'll actively try to move on. Mane or Salah could go if their agents drum up interest but no way we'd let both leave. More likely Mane goes in my opinion.

So maybe a third keeper or i'd actually prefer to give the youth a chance (Pitaluga, Davis etc) . Konate at centre back to replace Matip looks a given. Bissouma, Nehaus OR De Paul to replace Gini seems a realistic possibility. Jones to replace Keita. We don't need 2 midfielders. Hendo, Fabinho and Thiago will start most games they're fit. Elliott to replace Shaqiri is a no brainer. Maybe a young striker to replace Origi such as Ricky Jade-Jones or we could look to give an u23 such as Glatzel or Hardy a chance in pre season. Then if Mane or Salah go maybe we could see Traore, Sarr OR Sancho come in; with who depending on finances.

That's my prediction of how it'll play out. We'll see soon enough.

We don’t need to spend money? Are you bonkers?

Have you seen the season we’ve just had? Our two best centre backs have just had potentially career altering injuries and the other one is never fit enough to cover them anyway, we have a midfield that is ageing and being strangled by a man who takes 6 touches to pass the ball 5 yards at a snails pace, and we have 2 forwards who’ve been struggling in front of goal for almost 2 years. Not even to mention the numerous squad players who can’t be trusted or don’t do anywhere near enough.

I know we’ve had possibly the most unfair and unluckiest season ever but the squad is still clearly carrying a lot of flaws that need to be rectified. If we don’t spend money in the summer you can kiss a title challenge goodbye.

All money we have should be going on a goal scoring forward, we don't need a new midfielder, drop firmino there and play Elliott sometimes there, he doesn't have the pace for a wide role, i see him being quicker thinking and a good number 8/ 10, we didn't bulk the squad when we won the CL or Prem, we sat on our laurels and ended up with this season, that's all on the owners not investing in the squad and being satisfied with what we did, City are further ahead of us, Chelsea not too far away now, United catching fast, Leicester not quite there but closer, we have blown a chance to dominate and we are now back to playing catch up.

We need to freshen up parts of the squad. Sometimes it's just about fresh faces and hunger. I am all for giving Jones more minutes and finding a way to blood Elliott but honestly, we need to make a handful of signings to freshen things up. We don't need to talk more about CB as it has been done to death. But central midfield also needs some new legs as do the forward areas. Appreciate that it's a difficult climate for transfers but sometimes you just need some new faces to freshen up the place after what has been what at least felt like the longest season in history. France, Netherlands and Germany might offer some real value in this window and allow us to start to build Klopp's second generation Liverpool team.

We don't need to spend and just increase the debt. If players are moved and someone leaves we can see else its the same squad that walked to the league title.
I don't get why people keep forgetting that.

I think if we blindly sit and pretend that there’s not been any issues this season we’re deluding ourselves. Defence is obviously an issue, though it’s unprecedented to have that many first choice cb’s out at the same time. Phillips has to be part of our defensive set up, he’s earned that, Matip needs to move and a new starter brought in as Matip is too injury prone to be relied upon and I can’t see Gomez being back this year., Williams deserves a good loan move to carry on his progression.

Midfield has looked awful if both Henderson and Fabinho aren’t available, that needs addressing. Wijnaldum is gone, Keita is on his way, Shaq will go, Milner isn’t good enough to be a regular starter and age is not on his side, Curtis is far too raw to be a regular yet, Ox is too injury prone, Grujic is going. So I think two midfielders are needed in that context.

Our forward line has not been anywhere near as effective as previous seasons, (bar Salah), credit to Jota, he has done well as a newcomer, but Mane looks spent and Firmino hasn’t been that effective at all (although I can see a role for him in midfield as he has the skill set), and given we’ve literally no goals in midfield, if the front three don’t score, we usually then don’t score. The big worry has to be what happens if Salah decides he wants pastures new, can any of us truly be confident in our owners to bring in a suitable like for like replacement? The talk of of Sarr and Traore which is both worrying and underwhelming as they’re hardly what you’d call prolific or consistent.

Plus, we’ve also looked woefully short in strength of depth, Keita, Origi, Shaq, Ox etc haven’t really stepped up, particularly Keita who doesn’t even flatter to deceive. Hopefully having Elliott back and in the squad will give us better quality in depth.

Change is needed as you can be sure our rivals won’t be sitting on their hands doing nothing. But, at least we’ve given ourselves a fighting chance of top four by capitalising on Leicester slipping up, something that seems to happen a lot to Brendan, bless him.

I thought Ox was seeing Rebecca Ferguson 😂 ahhh well they were both on X Factor. Still don't see Ox wanting to move. Maybe if Newcastle come in she'll twist is arm though! She'll need to be careful or she'll injure him again.
