Sorry, am I the only one who thinks Silva hurdled Milner's leg long before there was any contact?

{Ed025's Note - yes you are, the assault was obvious and he should have been either sent off or arrested..

Ed025 that's a bit harsh on Silva, what's he done lately to upset you?

{Ed025's Note - like it KC..

In all honesty Milner should have received a yellow card, making it his second, he's a very lucky boy.

Ed01, I pointed out on another post that Milner was very poor and his lack of pace was highlighted. What I forgot to mention was he gives his all and never seems to complain when played out of position, a true professional. I think klopp should shoulder some of the blame as this was never going to be a easy game for Milner, having said that I don’t know who else I’d of played. Gomez is a great CB but his positional sense at RB is lacking at times and he makes awkward mistakes. Is Neco not deemed good enough?

There's history between Milner and Silva and that was why Milner assaulted him.
Milner was alleged to have said "I owe Silva" just before the 'assault'.

Neco has only just recovered from an injury and dropping him straight back in it against City would've been setting up the kid to have his confidence destroyed. If he'd played that game, done a bit better than Milner, but still made a couple of mistakes and left Foden too much space a few times, people would be screaming on social media about how terrible he is and calling for an immediate public flogging in front of the Kop. If he'd been fit since the start of the season and played in the League Cup and against Brentford, then yeah, he should've been picked ahead of Milner. But as it it, I think Klopp made the right call.

People were trashing him over the summer and saying he'd never be good enough cos he didn't play well for Wales, when his last few performances for us were actually okay, imo. I don't care if he scores 50 own goals for Wales, I care how he plays for Liverpool.

Meant Porto instead of Brentford in that post. Sry.

Silva is such a loathsome character it’s impossible not to want to cause some harm to him. Maybe that was in the ref’s thinking.

I am stunned that no one is talking about how Silva showed no regard for Milner's knee then way he clattered into him. no respect for the old campaigner
#sarcasm.

The fans got to Silva on Sunday and that's why he was moaning to the ref. It doesn't just happen at Anfield either.
Every crowd has a Silva whining.

Rigsby hats off mate. I love a pun and that one was a cracker.

Didn't ED01 say that the challenge on Silva was not even a foul cos the ref already blew for the trip on Silva by Hendo? If that is the case then, why is Milner a lucky boy? Also, why would he be carded for what the ref did not deem was a foul and prolly deemed it to be incidental contact? Just asking.
