I'd like to say how good naby and billy the kid were last night. Naby imo was the biggest reason we got back charge of the game and started taking it to them and looking dangerous. And billy the kid although possibly culpable on the first goal I thought he looked really calm and composed and played passes joe Gomez for example isn't capable of some of them were inspired by the passes the usual left center back plays. I was very surprised to see him in the side as since his initial first team exposure a few years back he's been really struggling with u23 and u19 football often giving away penalties and goals with slack passes.

I thought Naby was excellent. I didn't see the first half so didn't see how Billy the Kid got on, but kids mature and improve at different rates so the fact that he started means Klopp sees something he likes.
The whole team showed guts and spirit though. Kelleher was immense on the penalties too.

Gotta say hats off to every player that payed last night. To come back from 3-1 down against a very strong Leicester side is great testament to each and every one of them.

We’re now into the semis and I think we’ve actually hit a bit of a cross roads in this comp as you bet your life the other 3 teams will be going full strength in the semi or final.

There was debate on here last night (mental how some fans refuse to allow debate on a fans site if the opinion differs theirs) as to how serious Klopp takes this competition. For me I’d love to win the comp but I’d like to see Klopp continue with the same squad players and youngsters that have gotten us this far. Even if that might make us the least favourites out of the 4 teams remaining.

I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer and Klopp will go with how he feels. But what’s everyone else’s thoughts?

If I’m being brutally honest and I don’t want to be judgemental after one senior game. But I can’t see Billy the Kid making it for Liverpool. I watched him live last night, and I’ve watched him many times for the U21’s, I just can’t see it lads.

Tell you what, Naby takes a hell of a penalty as well!

I'm with JK, let the team who got us this far go all the way. Imagine playing every game and getting your team to a semi or final only to then be dropped for a 'first team' player.

{Ed0666's Note - Imagining getting a semi is all I can do at my age unfortunately Stuie

OP, Billy did his best under the circumstances BUT he wasn't good at all, IMO. He was poor and hat can be explained BUT let's not act like he was good. He wasn't BUT I will NEVER blame him for the couple of mistakes he made.
