Special mention too neco Williams last night that lad has had to put up with a lot of unnecessary abuse and pressure, but all season he has not let anyone down and I now think he is establishing himself as an able stand in for trent, last night he came of age for me .
Also taki deserves a lot of credit for his professionalism, its such a shame he isn't playing more but the goal and assist yesterday was brilliant.

Neco needs to play regularly really, he’s done well for Wales, so perhaps we’ll see how that goes.
Taki looked devastated when he missed that penalty, and then delighted (and mightily relieved no doubt) when it all went right at the end. I was worried that could have really hurt him but hopefully he puts it down to experience and carries on the good work. He did well last night, agreed on that.

Nico was brilliant. I don’t know why he was on the wing though he looked lost 😂 at full back the lad ran the game.

Even if he had missed the pen his desire to get us in the game to get to the penalties was first class, he embraced the challenge and fed off the crowd, sod the pen a goal and assist is perfect .

Neco was immense in that second half. He had their LB on toast and kept running at him time and again and the kid was washed afterwards as Neco wore him down. Brilliant performance.

The League Cup is turning into Taki's competition, he definitely seems to be a bit of a talisman in it this season.
He certainly set Anfield rocking with that last gasp equaliser.
