Might be an unpopular one but. I would quite happily take coutinho back. I think Klopp would get the best from him and he can create chances out of nothing and we definitely need a playmaker like him at the moment.

Not a Klopp type of player anymore, doesn't press, doesn't track back, can't tackle, and flits in and out of a game.

{Ed0666's Note - I think Couts offers more than klopp

He used to create chances out of nothing, now he just creates nothing.

I've no doubt he could still have an impact for us, but I think that ship has long sailed.
Shame, but it was all his own choice - and Klopp warned him what was likely to happen.

I think whoever signs him on loan will be a gamble because even if you’re only paying half his wages they are huge and he’s played hardly any football for a couple of years now. The premier league isn’t really the league to come into to find your feet.

Saying that I might be talking b#llo##s and he signs for someone hits the ground running and has a stormer like Lingaard did last Jan for West Ham.

He wanted to leave and he left. Don’t let the door smack you on the a*se.

His form for us trailed away in his last 12 - 18 months. He turned into a one trick pony - drop the shoulder, cut inside and leather if from 30 yards to increasingly little effect.

I’d be unhappy for him to come back and block the path of one or two of the youngsters. As has been said he isn’t a JK type player anyway.

We couldn’t afford him even if we wanted him.

{Ed0666's Note - I bet we could afford him on a 6 month loan.

If we sign him this month, I hope its for nothing, no signing fee, 0 wages as he'll basically spend until August getting fit enough to step onto the paddock. OK maybe not 0 wages as he is a pro and needs to train, but shivers, the dude is miles away from contributing in our team.

Cou is the past the past and should stay exactly where he is as in, in the past.

Aside from all the other issues, he simply isn’t what we need.

Aside from some Eds and many posters calling him the "one trick pony" when he was with us (and rightly so), I've always thought that Coutinho thrived best when Firmino was linking up with him. Now Firmino is not at the same level as before and Coutinho is certainly not either. It takes time, and sometimes a lot of time, to get your confidence back at the top. This is not the time for us to be serving as a rehabilitation center for players who turned their back on us, even if you let the past go. We need quick solutions that will hit the ground running, to get our campaign back on track and threatening ManC. I'm already fuming with high wage earners that are mostly ineffective (Keita and Thiago), and the last thing we need is another one.
