Liverpool have sold the third most shirts in Europe, only to be beaten by Bayern and Real Madrid, we sold 2.45 million!

So will FSG - aren’t we part of a deal that provides us with more revenue the greater sales numbers?

20% we recieve, supposedly, from shirt/ kit sales, unsure if that applies to all merchandise.

Not a huge income, wouldn't even cover 1 week of Salah's new contract ;)

I think were going to end up making massive money from this deal. Madrid and Bayern sponsored by Adidas so that must make us Nike's best shirt sellers so.

Meanwhile, on the pitch, where it matters.

Stuie, the shirts aren't selling for £1 a shirt!

I would imagine off the back of those sales, we'll be generating around £30m-ish (2.45m shirts x £60 per shirt x 20%) . Of course the figures could be out a bit, but it's a bit more than £500k!

{Ed001's Note - there is not a chance we get 20% per shirt, except for those sold direct by the club itself, which would equate to a merchant's cut.}

Not sure Ed001, reason being that they used this info in court as a way to effectively claim they would earn over the £60million proposed income from New Balance's deal (with Nike's terms only being £30million) . Therefore Liverpool were confident that the commission from Nike, which has been reported as 20%, would net them an extra £35-40million per season.

Don't see how that figure would be achieved if it wasn't for 20% on all merchandise.

Then again I could be wrong ofc!

{Ed002's Note - That is not how it is calculated - you need to forget the finances.}

If they don't invest in the team in general the decline will start, and the shirt sales will suffer anyway.

It appears my interpretation is incorrect.

A question I have however is on the commercial side of things. Recently Matt Scammel vacated from role as Commercial Director for Liverpool and has left the role open. Can I ask:

1) How well did he do in his time at Liverpool? (I remember previously you've stated that United are ran by amateurs, and he is formerly a director at Man United) ; and,

2) Do you have any idea on who might replace him and who would be a good fit?

Many thanks as always, your contributions are greatly appreciated!

{Ed002's Note - All of this has been dealt with.}
