Mighty I’m in the humble pie camp that said we won’t spend money so I’ll happily eat it but unfortunately I feel that Diaz will come at a future cost which I really hope isn’t Salah.

There will also be the humble pie eaters of the Ones who shot down every post or comment should someone dare mention a transfer saying we didn’t need to sign anyone.

We didn’t need to sign anyone this season, we are only moving for Diaz now because Spurs made an offer and forced us to go for him now rather than in the summer.

Why don’t we need to sign anyone? We don’t have much hope of catching Man City if we don’t sign him. We have players in the squad who Klopp can simply not rely on. Diaz IMO is way ahead of Minamino, OX, Firmino, Origi.

Certainly wasn’t expecting it. But it’s a nice surprise all the same and certainly a more exciting prospect than the likes of Dembele or Traore. Could be just the boost we need to see us to the end of the season, specially with Thiago being back, Keita finding form and fitness at the AFCON. Glass half empty may just be half full instead. Let’s hope City slip up and we don’t.
