Here's a for instance for you to debate!

If you had a choice between Mo signing a new 5 year contract and selling Mo to fund the transfer costs of Haaland, which would you choose?

Assume their salary costs are the same, and I'm sure we could raise enough from the Mo transfer to pay for Haaland's buy out clause plus a bit more.

It's a real toughy for me, but I think I would be in favour of keeping Mo.

Albeit, as Mo's pace lessens, the chances are he could end up through the middle just like Erling.

If we did 'swap' then I would see Haaland through the middle, Diaz on the left and Sadio on the right. Jota and Firmino would provide competition/ rotation ably assisted by youngsters like Jones, Elliot and Carvalho.

Tough one zeddicus I think I would go for Haaland only because he nearly 10 years younger. Mo is at the top of his game while Haaland is only beginning his but his potential is enormous.

As much as i love Salah it would have to be Haaland for me. Halaand is just frighteningly good for his age.

{Ed001's Note - also suffering a lot of injuries. Not a chance would I go near any player whose agent is Raiola either.}

Good but really tough question Zed but if mo were to stay fit for the next four years I would keep Mo.

It's got to be Mo right?

4 years probably at the top, already proven, fits in the team etc.

In 3-5 years time we'll buy another fit in the circa £50m area I imagine and develop that player.

We're starting to build a really solid team and with good young options too. I think Mo has earned some loyalty so I'll keep him over any other player in the world right now.

Haaland won’t happen just like mbappe. Doesn’t hurt to dream though.

Keep Mo. Stay with the known and consistently proven quality. And stay away from the agent with the itchy fingers.

Injuries, Raiola, inflated ego, stupid wage demands, not really good link up play, scores loads of goals on the counter in a yoghurt league where games are played like basketball matches, misses quite a lot of chances, and simply isn’t as good as Salah who i believe will stay at this level for another 4-5 years or so.

I used to worship at the altar of Haaland but think now i’ve seen the light. I think once he moves to a better team he’ll be in for a bit of a culture shock.

To be fair, the guy's also scored 23 goals in 19 Champions League games so it's not just the Bundesliga he's tearing up. His injury issues and ego would be my biggest concerns.

Great question Zed.

For me it’s better the devil you know and I would keep our world class superstar Mo Salah 100%.

Problem is the pessimist in me thinks we might end up with worst case scenario in the summer of neither of them being at Liverpool for the 22/ 23 season.

Salah all day long. I honestly believe Salah will be competing at the highest level just like Ronaldo he looks after himself very well.
