I have to say I've been very impressed by mane at the afcon - he's shown other traits I didn't know he as . he drops deep, played some great balls throughout, been a playmaker and we talk about firmino dropping in an stuff but mane can do it and he still has that crazy pace. Regardless of opposition or whatever tournament u play u can still mess it up in games so he can do this in the prem abs I hope to see more of it for lfc!

I’ve wanted mane in the middle for a while, for all the reasons you say!

Change of note, with the emergence of Elliott and the possible incoming of carvalho. What do people think about jones being moulded as a number 8? For me he has the physic, technical ability, confidence (I love that he always shows for the ball), I think he could be a good long term hendo replacement. What do people think about that, or is better further forward?

He looks like the only actual footballer in the tournament. The way Egypt play Salah barely gets a kick and spends most of his time chasing long balls.

Think sadio comes back with rocket fuel in his boots, was concerned if Senegal lost and with his pen missed, he would struggle.

Congrats to him and Senegal, feel for mo.

Congratulations Sadio on winning the AFCON . And scoring the winning penalty! Now celebrate 👍🏼
Senegal deserved the win .
Commiserations Mo … get back home and sign that contract please .
Well done both of you

Senegal deserved it, they were the only team on the night that were interested in playing football. Feel sorry for Mo, not just for the loss but having to play in that Egypt side. Watching the endlessly pumping long balls for him to chase with no help was painful.

Having said that, i think Mo will bounce back quickly. Angry Mo will be a good asset to have. As for Mane, i hope this can give his confidence a huge boost from now til the end of the season. It’s the biggest achievement of his career (his take not mine) and i couldn’t be happier for him. Much deserved.

Turns out the people who said there’s a rift between Mane and Salah were right. I didn’t see them pass a single ball to each other tonight 🤣.

On a serious note I think Mane comes back beaming with confidence and apologies to the rest of the league but Salah comes back like a man possessed.

If a disappointed Mo means a rejuvenated Sadio, then I'm all for it, to be honest. I think win or lose Mo will continue to be Mo while a Sadio on the losing side could see him slump a bit more. I hope this is what he needs to get back to his old ways again.

Salah played much like how he does for us. Goes missing for long spells, and struggles to connect with his team mates and get them involved. Unfortunately for egypt5he didn't strike lightening like he does for us.

{Ed0666's Note - are you registered blind or are you a troll? When Salah isn’t being world class for us he’s working ridiculously hard for the team.

Ridiculous comment. The man has been superb for Liverpool fc and deserves the wages he is demanding. It will be a case don’t know what we got till it’s gone. Some of the criticism Salah gets it’s not warranted at all. As for the people that call him selfish, I don’t think they watch Liverpool. His assists and his work rate for the team is unbelievable.

Queiroz is an eejit for putting Salah last on pens. Hasn't got to him once, afaik.

Mane with the winning kick. Congrats to him. Senegal deserved it more, imo.

People dissing salah last night are either not fans, stupid or trolls. I felt sorry for him as the team defended and every time he got the ball he was completely isolated, and considering he had a bad game he created a few chances out of nothing, which on another day he might have scored. We are so lucky to have held onto salah and mane they have both been absolutely class both on and of the pitch and have bought the team up to new levels. Hopefully Egypt can win it next year as salah deserves it.

Faithinworks, now that's low even for you. Salah plays with pretty poor players in the Egyptian setup under the perennially clueless manager named Queiroz who is as negative and incompetent a manager as you will ever find.

The fact that it took Egypt 3 penalty shoot out victories to get to the final and another one to nearly win it after being completely outplayed and dominated by a pretty tired Senegal team, should tell you all you need to know about how badly Salah struggled. Yet this is the comment you came out with? Again, that's low even for you. Sad.

The only explanation here is Harry has control over faithinworks account.
