I think salah is definitely off! Klopp saying they are doing everything to keep him and his agent posting laughing emojis is quite telling .

Okay bye. I love salah but I loved coutinho too. Obviously couts back troubles expedited his departure but as good as the players are, they often forget how well this system is geared to them. And don’t forget, we got better with coutinho’s departure, we will get better if salah makes that decision too. The club should never be held to ransom. How much do these players really freaking need?

Do I blame them for wanting more? No, I always want more too. But there comes a point where you just have to scratch your head and wonder…~500k a WEEK?

his "agent" is absolutely pathetic and should be sacked by salah. the way he's acted towards lfc and the fans is disgraceful. another agent who thinks he's better than everyone else.

11 Mar 2022 17:03:29
Yup klopp said it's Salah's decision coz the club has done everything it could.

I think he’s going too. I think he’ll go to PSG once MBop leaves for Madrid. He’s always agitated for a move despite what he says in public. They all say “i love the club, the town, the people etc” and I’m sure they do but they love money more. It’s simple. Earn and win as much as possible in what is a short career especially at top level. Who can blame them. If someone offered me another third of my wages again I’d be off. Football players are transient. The sooner folk realise this the better.

Well, Ed002 did inform of us of the behaviour of his 'representatives' from a very early stage didn't he?

Maybe it's just blind optimism, but I'd like to think something could be reached last minute. But it's increasingly unlikely. We should be thankful that we got to witness one of the best players the club has had in the PL era, I suppose.

6.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 18:14:25
The only 2 things left for Salah to win is the Afcon and the Balon D’or.

You’d think Going to PSG would end any hope of him ever winning the Balon D’or realistically but money talks so who knows perhaps Qatari money will find it’s way into FIFAs hands again and Salah will win it there for scoring 50 goals in a one team league.

Mo Salah has rejected Liverpool’s latest contract offer, but he has no intention of leaving the club, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Without sentiments and getting emotional, if you just look at the maths and the numbers, you get the same feeling that he is probably off. We have gotten Diaz and all indications are that we will get Carvalho the youngster, in the summer. So that leaves us with an attacking corps of Mane, Firmino, Jota, Diaz, Minamino, Elliott and Carvalho. I have left Origi out because he is probably off in the summer, and I see Jones more as a midfielder.

So that's 7 players for 4 positions already and it's likely that we will add another in the summer if you go by the rumours about Darwin Nunez, Jeremy Doku or others. Not to mention the youngsters who will be phased in over time.

It's difficult to blame Salah coz this is going to be he's last "big pay check" for our club is just a bucket out of ocean don't think 20-24M is a lot when our revenue is over 500M.

Problem is giving him that amount of contract will open can of worms which is more important then signing Salah just my opinion

I still remember when Bastian Schweinsteiger was signed by United with massive wages how unrest it caused in United's dressing room where Pogba and Degea weren't happy and next season they were given same wages. This is the last thing we want at our club.

Love Salah to bits but can't destroy our harmony, togetherness, spirit etc.

11 Mar 2022 18:41:26
I think klopp is right to put ball in Salahs court, we need clarity 1 way r another soon. i hope mo stays brilliant player with brilliant attitude but his agents public tweets leave a lot 2 b desired. if they making him best paid player at club as far as I'm concerned that's a good enough offer, if not acceptable to him it's time I think we move on to sorting a replacement.

11.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 18:44:13
Seems like basically he’s planning to leave on a free but the club ok a difficult decision as to keep or sell.

It’s difficult as great as he is club has to think about the future.

12.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 19:25:09
If Salah wants to leave then let him go!

What i would say to Mo is make sure this is your choice and not the choice of your Agent, look at what has happened to other players once they have left the reds.

Your agent will drop you like a hot potato once your usefulness has ran out.

Any player who does not want to be part of this Liverpool side managed by klopp is in my biased opinion crazy.

Whatever happens Mo Salah has been one of our greatest ever signings but we existed before him and will exist without him.

Liverpool signing Luis Diaz has weakened Salah's agent hand and Klopp has pretty much confirmed that in today's press conference.

13.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 19:26:54
He wants to go. Shake his hand, thank him for everything he's done for us and wish him well. Only decision is whether its this summer, we'd still make a profit on what we paid even with a year left, or keep him until 2023. Brilliant player but it's his job and his right to sniff out the best deal for himself and his family.

14.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 19:35:25
Great opinions guys very hard to judge which way it will go, I am presuming he will go and then anything else is a bonus. fergie had to make crucial decisions with big players every couple of years and sentiment has to be removed if its for good of club.

15.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 17:46:25
All we can hope for now is a decent fee for him in the Summer to be able to reinvest and replace him. I won't lie, I'll be sad to see him go but we survived when Alonso, Torres, Suarez and Coutinho all left.

16.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 20:10:04
Summer will be interesting if we sell Salah. Plus fans want the terrible Mane gone. Front 3 of Mino, Origi and Díaz next season.

17.) 11 Mar 2022
11 Mar 2022 21:41:26
Jk mane for striker and nowhere else if salah leaves we get Anthony from ajax and why don't we explore for a proper striker . Life goes on salah or not.

18.) 12 Mar 2022
12 Mar 2022 00:21:19
I think Salah would want to break records as one of Liverpools greatest ever goal scorers and he will not go.

19.) 12 Mar 2022
12 Mar 2022 01:15:17
Salah is a wonderful and unique player of his generation, and I think he has been superb since he joined, however we won 18 league titles and 5 European cups/ Champs league without him. Players come, players go, the club will always remain, and that's what I support no matter what personel we have playing. When he left we would never replace Rush and along comes Aldridge, we would never replace Fowler along comes Owen, never replace Torres, along comes Suarez. It has happened before multiple times, it will happen again. If mo goes, he can go with my thanks for what he has done and I will await the next player to idolize, but noone is bigger than the club and the club should rightly refuse to pander to excessive demands which could and would destroy us financially.

{Ed0666's Note - how do you know his demands are excessive?

20.) 12 Mar 2022
12 Mar 2022 01:37:03
Why psg? he might join Newcastle too you know. when his agent laughed at Klopp I lost it.

{Ed0666's Note - why did you lose it? Isn’t it Ramy’’s role to get the best deal for his client. Ramy is not Salah’s agent he’s actually his advisor & Attorney. The guy has an obligation to his client to do what’s best for Salah both financially and professionally. You have to remember Ramy Abass is not a Liverpool fan.

21.) 12 Mar 2022
12 Mar 2022 02:38:10
In all honesty, he clearly doesn’t love the club enough. Does he deserve an improved contract? Yes. Should the club be held to ransom? No. If he doesn’t sign, then sell him in the summer for as much money we can get for him. My only concern is that where are the goals going to come from? Losing a layer who scores between 20-30 goals a season is going to be very difficult to replace. Diaz is a quality player but will we get anything close to salah’s goal numbers from him? No. Tough on this but if we do decide to sell him, let’s not sell him to another premier league club!

22.) 12 Mar 2022
12 Mar 2022 09:03:57
You can't throw seven laughing emojis at this club and expect things to carry on as normal. Ask the representatives of Sakho and Bobby Duncan, other examples exist going back over the decades.

Personally, I would be surprised if Salah travelled to Brighton today!

23.) 12 Mar 2022
12 Mar 2022 09:09:23
Losing Salah for me would put more pressure on Bobby especially and then Mane and Jota. When Bobby or Mane haven’t been free scoring in the past having a Salah in the side has papered over those cracks as he gets you 20-40 goals a season.

Mane and Jota do get goals but Bobby doesn’t so can we afford to have a non scoring centre forward in the team if we aren’t scoring goals regardless of how much pressing and space he creates.

24.) 12 Mar 2022
12 Mar 2022 08:00:16
Personally, I think this is a clever play by Klopp. The club have obviously tabled what they deem to be a very good offer to Salah and his party, which has been rejected. I think the club are now putting the pressure firmly on Salah, they have remained quiet whilst he has spoken of his love for the club and fans etc. With Klopp statement, the spotlight is now on Salah to prove how much of that is true, and with his advisors reaction on Twitter, I think the club have succeeded on turning some fans in their favour so that if/ when Salah leaves, they can say they did all they can.

25.) 12 Mar 2022
12 Mar 2022 08:01:48
Awful lot of rubbish about him "holding the club to ransom" going on in this thread. Nobody knows the ins and outs of the negotiations. Contract length could be the problem not wages. And for all those saying Salahs agent is "scum and a parasite" just remember who it is that employs him. He works for Mo.

26.) 12 Mar 2022
12 Mar 2022 10:40:18
Stupid, according to Klopp the offer hasn’t been rejected. It hasn’t been accepted (yet) which is a different thing entirely.

27.) 12 Mar 2022
12 Mar 2022 07:30:39
Ed0666, the guy doesn’t need to post laughing emoji’s on Twitter disrespecting the club and manager that helped made his client what he is today. According to ed02 he was also pimping Salah around other clubs for years. That’s hardly going to please the fans. Salah might be a lpool legend and a fantastic player but he’s won’t be in a team of players most loved by the fans imo.

{Ed0666's Note - I don’t know mate I really really love Salah and if he goes to PSG for a bagful of silver then good luck to him. He goes with my blessing.

If he’s running down his contract then fair play to him. He’s been a great servant to the club but as in life it goes on. Enjoy him while he is here.
