3 points. Anything else about tonight is unimportant and irrelevant.

1. Bobby had a brilliant game

2. Martinelli is excellent. wouldn’t mind him at LFC.

Motd fever from the usual suspect. There’s not a person on that Arsenal team that gets into our 11. They are playing as well as they can right now and we did our jobs. Onto the next.

Martinelli may be better cover than Divock but who else who come off the bench and score the winner as fourth choice.

{Ed014's Note - 😂😂

You beauty!

Anyone not enjoying the ride should just get off the bus.

We’ve certainly never had a group of five forwards as capable as the three who started and the two who came on tonight in all the time I’ve been watching and I’d be interested if anyone can think of any teams around now, anywhere in the world, that could match them as a group. In addition we also have Div and Taki too - we are not short of options.

Now for the next round of the FA Cup… can’t wait for the next game!

Cannot believe a football fan not rating Martinelli 😂😂😂😂😂. The lad is a baller. If you don’t like him that’s your problem the world acknowledges it.

{Ed001's Note - not convinced by him either.}

Brilliant! come on u red men. Robbo and matip class.

Back when Utd were dominating they had a super sub in Solskjaer and I think we might just have that in Bobby. I thought he was fantastic tonight in that last 30 mins against a tired defence. For me he was more involved tonight in that last 30 mins than I’ve seen him in 90 mins games.

I'am with you Ed on Martinelli.

Give Arteta his due, Arsenal were shocking at times last season and the start of this one. He's got them looking far better. We deserved the three points overall, although we had to work hard and be patient to get them instead of the usual romp against Arsenal.
Kudos to Matip too, MOTM performance.

Martinelli is an absolute baller. Would take him at Liverpool in a heartbeat - made Trent look stupid in the first half. Ran out of legs in the 2nd once we sorted it out and started doubling up on him.

Klopp loves him as well, needs to get the Brazilian lads to tap him up 😂

Jota again had a shocker, goal aside. Can’t seem to even control the ball atm.

Important 3 points though, still think City are favourites but game at the etihad is going to be epic. Concerned about our lack of legs in midfield this year vs previous seasons but our options up front are a joke.

{Ed001's Note - he has no end product when I have seen him.}

10.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 23:05:26
I think Martinelli will be a top player. Klopp does too and he knows a bit more than me.

However, this is the Liverpool page and we played a great second half. I salute Alisson, Matip and Firmino.

11.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 23:06:02
Martinelli in fairness he had a great game but he's not our level.

12.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 23:10:57
He did well for a hour and that never got a look in when we started to double up on him.
Arsenal haven’t scored a goal against us in 4 games though.
The aggregate score is 8-0 to Liverpool.
Arteta is David Moyes with a sprinkle of paprika lol.

13.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 23:15:35
Klopp also like Traore.

14.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 23:20:32
Ah no ones ever at our level. we can be very cocky at times! very good young player, have very rarely heard anyone say different.

15.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 23:28:11
I was there tonight - he’s got lots of skill but no end product - but he’s only young so can improve in which case he would be a good player.

16.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 23:30:00
Arteta is a football Papa John!

17.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 23:31:23
I think Martinelli is quality but he needs to stay fit. 5 goals and 3 assists in 15 starts. The problem there is that he's only started 15/ 27 games. For a 20 year old winger though his goal return is pretty damn good and only going to get better. I would've taken him at Liverpool but now we've signed Diaz (who is better anyway) it'd be pointless.

18.) 16 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 23:41:42
Martinelli made me think of the Harlem Globetrotters.
Tonne of flash and charisma but not much of value to any real ambitious team.
But what do I now, I used to think an £8 million left back from Hull is a joke of a purchase.

19.) 17 Mar 2022
16 Mar 2022 23:55:45
I like Martinelli but I'm not shocked whatsoever that Harry is salivating over opposition players as opposed to enjoying the brilliance of his own team (although god only knows what team that is this week) .

20.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 00:00:13
I thought Martinelli looked good tonight and breezed past Trent very easily at times. I do get why people aren’t convinced because he then picked the wrong option pretty much every time.
Under the right manager he could be very good. I don’t think that manager is Arteta though.

21.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 00:37:05
To be fair to Martinelli on the "no end product" issue, he is only 20.

22.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 01:53:40
Ah yes, @Something Red, but age doesn’t count mate, or coaching for that matter. When people had ‘discussions’ on this very forum about Traore it was clearly stated that “you can’t teach how to produce an end product” ……. Basically the kid should just pack the game in now.

23.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 06:11:27
I thought martenelli looked class and he was skinning trent again and again. Klopp would make him into a beast.

24.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 06:55:58
@AW, you just needs to be a football fan to acknowledge players. There are many fans who like and rate LFC players and I don’t see them getting mocked and abused for doing so.
Martinelli, Odegard and Saka are excellent players. I don’t care if they wear a yellow or magenta shirt.

25.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 07:55:54
Martinelli is far younger than Tralee, has a better goal/ assists return. No comparison.

{Ed001's Note - Martinelli is a striker being played on the wing because he lacks end product. As for having a better assists and goal return, Alisson is not far off Traore in that regard so hardly a reason to big up yet another overhyped young player. He has talent but no brains or decision making. There is a lot the boy needs to learn before he is anywhere near the level of Saka.}

26.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 10:29:44
Ed001 is spot on about Martinelli. He has no end product. He goes past players for fun is unbelievably fast, as he showed when in a foot race with Diaz and left him in his wake, works hard and battles to win balls, but all to no avail. Only young though, and would certainly be an asset in our squad, but how often would he play?

27.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 11:14:34
I'd take Saka from Arsenal, always gives his all, never shirks and can play multiple roles, a young Milner type lol. Would love him at Liverpool under Klopp.

28.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 12:04:11
Traore's 26 WDW.

I kinda don't know what to say to you if you can't see the difference between a 20 year old who's only become a regular this season vs. a 26 year old with over 300 senior appearances.

29.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 14:03:04
ED01, I thought I was the only one. I don't rate Martinelli at all. If he went to a better team with a better coach then, I think he would get better. As he is now? Nope, don't rate him at all as he is way too one-dimensional. Now compared to Saka? Why is that even a debate? Saka all day and its not even close.

30.) 17 Mar 2022
17 Mar 2022 23:30:12
I'd love to see Saka at Liverpool, think klopp would turn him into a world class player. Martinelli, have to agree with the Ed and others no end product at all, origi has better end product and he won't get in ahead of our front 5 unless it's to rest someone so Martinelli has no chance imo.
