I know it's not for a while yet, but I can really see us spanking manure 😁.

Howvon earth has this been approved? The origins of the "manure" nickname came from West Brom fans mocking Duncan Edwards dying in the Munich Air Disaster. I really hope Walkon79 is just a troll account.

I don’t know if that is true or not, but I highly doubt that’s what walkon was meaning. I always just thought it was manure like s**t.

{Ed0666's Note - i agree let’s give the poster the benefit of the doubt in this case.

If he didn't know Firmane, he knows now and hopefully never uses the term again. It's absolutely true and many United fans have told me it really upsets/ angers them.

Ya know like animal crap. Take a deep breath mk.

{Ed0666's Note - ok guys let’s leave it here and put it in the misunderstanding file. We have a big game tommorow let’s focus all our efforts towards that.

I believe you that you didn't know Walkon, so all is forgiven. I just think as fans we all need to do better in terms of understanding the history and origins of some of the insults we use. If you'd never been told though, i can see why you'd make the assumption you did. Honest mistakes happen.

First time I became aware of the use of Man Ure was in the Kop newspaper in the 90s and again, it's related to bumhole evacuations.
