Ronaldo offering to take the child to old trafford hasn't he been through enough pain without trying to torcher him?

In all seriousness Ronaldo should get banned for this its a disgrace and the reaction of a proportion of united fans is disgusting.

{Ed001's Note - why ban him? Someone shoves a phone in his face and he just knocks it away, all the mother is doing is milking it for a moment in the spotlight and some compo. It is such a nothing incident and the fact this is even being investigated is a joke when you consider the police do f all about real crime.}

He's only 14 ed and has a massive bruise on his hand. If he did that to my son I'd be fuming. He's a paid professional and can't take a bit of stick off a little boy? Probably won't face any sort of action yet if it was you or I doing that in the street We would be in deep trouble. I can't stand the creature assaulting a minor is wrong no matter what. I take it you don't have kids?

{Ed001's Note - he didn't even look at the lad, nor was it about stick, it was just something shoved in his face. Sorry but you are all being pathetic because he plays for the Mancs. It is a nothing incident and anyone shoving a phone in someone's face should be just grateful it is not shoved up their arse.}

Are you actually being serious its fk all to do with him playing for united he's smashed a phone out of a kids hand bruising him in the process and your trying to say it was shoved in his face? Catch a grip of yourself. How many players have walked down that tunnell since CV began and not done that? The phone was nowhere near his face clearly you don't have kids!

{Ed001's Note - actually i do but i am not some divvy chav who thinks it's ok for my kid to be bothering people with. Saddos today think someone is famous so they are fair game and have no respect. In my day you would ask if you could have a pic because we had respect.}

In your day but its not your day anymore the football world has completely changed. Footballers live a celebrity lifestyle and live on a high horse the kid wanted a picture of one of the greatest players to play the game and you think its alright for him to do what he done? In your day yes you may bump into a footballer from time to time but will these kids? Probably more chance of winning the lottery. Nor is it ok to resort to be branding people a divvy chav when you clearly don't know nothing about them. The child wanted a fking picture didn't deserve that simple as that and ronaldo needs reality check yes the mother is going to milk it but so what?

{Ed025's Note - I’m with you joe. CR was being a prick and there can be no excuses for him mate..

Ed001, you can't say we are all being pathetic because he plays for the Mancs. All on the Liverpool page? Loads have said nothing about it.
And judging comments about Ronaldo's actions as pathetic and saying nothing about them isn't right, is it? Even Ronaldo has apologised.

{Ed001's Note - I didn't say all on the page did I? So what if he apologised. That is my point, he apologised why is there any more need be said? Instead we have all this bull about his hand being bruised etc. Get a life.}

Ok so I'm obviously a United fan so you can accuse me of bias but like Ed said he has apologised, invited him to a Manchester United game. The mother and child aren't interested in Manchester United as in her words was about Ronaldo as he's the boy's idol, invited somewhere potentially protected from the media (inside Old Trafford) where I would imagine he'd get treated very well, get another apology and probably a gift (s) . Then there is a load of BS about being invited to Old Trafford, It's not like he can invite the lad to Goodison or down the local chippy. What more is expected of him given the circumstances? This all round media scrutiny is getting out of hand. And the police are involved? So now do we get the police involved for any reckless challenges on the pitch? I've got kids and like Ed01 said they've been brought up to ask like they have done. We don't own these people, they are just doing their jobs albeit eye wateringly well paid. He's admitted from his point of view that he's done wrong, what do you want now? a public flogging? I feel like I've had to go into far more detail than necessary on the subject. Shall we move on or does everyone else here want signed Ronaldo pyjamas too and not be left out? Oh and I doubt the police can do anything as the boy's hand was out of shot of somebody else's camera phone I expect. Still hopefully we will get tougher on this true crime and tough on the causes of crime.

Ronaldo gets phones and cameras poked at him every day. He should be very used to it by now. On this occasion he was obviously cheesed off at losing and it was an act of petulance which isn't acceptable with someone elses property. Who else in this world gets a free pass to break someones phone because they've had a bad day at work? Offering an Everton fan a ticket to watch Man Utd game is just rubbing salt into the wound. Whether he was been ‘bothered’ by the kid or not doesn’t excuse a physical reaction on a member of the public.

Ed25 there really cant. All I'm getting from united men is the kid shouldn't be verbally abusing players but there is litterally nothing to say the kid abused Ronaldo and even if he did so what he's a multi millionaire footballer living in the spotlight who may get a name or 2 thrown at him. If the kid does have a disability then it makes it even worse. Looked completely unprovoked to me.

{Ed025's Note - the guy is an arsehole joe. You have to be bigger than that mate and any respect I had for the guy has gone out of the window..

Look you don't know what the other load of fans around the tunnel were doing. If they were Everton fans then I doubt very much there was much shouting well played etc. If it were me and I'm walking through there and getting generally a load of vile abuse and someone shoves an object/ phone down low towards my privates / legs then I would swat it away. I would apologise and try and make amends if I thought I'd made a mistake if I hadn't realised there and then. Then move on. Still maybe it's more lucrative for the mother to drag it out and so the circus goes on. There are players now and in the past and pundits out there that have done far worse. Is it no wonder it's harder to relate to them these days with the circus that follows and people feeding it.

Whats needed to be remembered is the kids got Autism so it's not like he was being a bratty teenager. I really admire Ronaldo but he shouldn't have slapped the phone. Regardless if it was a kids or a granny.
He's done the right thing with the apologies etc. The mother needs to leave off and carry on with her life.

Must have been some power slap to leave a bruise on the boy's hand.
Unless he bruises easily.

{Ed0666's Note - I can guarantee that kid is in therapy for PTSD, the hand will need amputating and the family holiday in the Algarve this summer is cancelled due to the psychological trauma. Oh and the kids gonna need 24 hour medical supervision for the rest of his life. Isn’t it easier to walk past the kid then to do what he did?? He could have easily avoided the furore he created. Losing the game is no excuse because he should be used to that feeling this season. I met Ronaldo at a health spa in Spain once and you could not meet a more miserable and moody sod.

With ed1 on this, raise my kid to have manners and be polite.
Life lesson for the kid really. Maybe one day the kid may be famous himself and realise what a pain it is.

Makes you wonder how kids survived the belt all them years ago if they are now bruising from having phones slapped out of their hands.
