Did Curtis Jones get MOTM last night? because he should of an absolute performance wow this lad is as cool as a cucumber on the ball. He is going to be some player.

I thought he played well enough, but still makes bad decisions, and holds for too long. Almost a bit grealish like (without being a d*ck) where it looks good, but not always useful.

I thought Curtis like a few others grew into the game and had a really good 2nd half.

Bobby was the same. That 2nd half his feet were like glue.

The lad has a lot to learn but he's at the best place, under klopp he's laughing. Trust klopp, keep putting the work in and your career is made.

Jones as Firmane says holds onto the ball too long or takes the wrong choice most times however he is young and if he can learn to overcome those issues he could become a very good player but not at this present moment in time.

Too many low percentage shots looking for a wonder goal. When one goes in its glorious but more often than not it gives away possession and wastes a good attacking position.

I am confident that when the time comes to replace Fabinho, if we do so effectively then our midfield for years to come will be sound with Jones and Elliot.

Much like the Villa game, he started slowly and grew into the game. He certainly has more faith in him holding onto the ball that I do haha. He's got all of the tools. Would like to see him make more turnovers but otherwise it's really up to him from here.

I think he tries too hard at times.
That's understandable and it's better than not trying hard enough.

Has ability and potential but doesn't move the ball quick enough when a quick ball is needed. Last night he was running back toward our goal dribbling with an opponent nipping at his heels the whole way and all he had to do was pass back to the defender. There's a player in there but needs to get better at decision making.

Man of the match? No chance. he made far to many poor shots etc. He had some decent possession but I never feel super confident when he's in the midfield for some reason. I like the lad but jury is out for me.

I like jones and thought he played well last nite, got better as game went on. I don't mind him holding onto ball in midfield if no ball forward on, I think he told to do this as gini wijnaldum before him done exact same. Where I see prob with jones is in final third when killer ball is on he slows it up too much and the momentum and chance lost. If he can sort that out and add few goals I think he will be super player for us.

Jones was very good, IMO. He needs to work on his decision making and vision in the final third BUT he’s still learning so I’m good with that. It’s not easy holding your own in a world class team so I think he is doing fine under the circumstances.

For me Jones has had plenty of opportunities to show what he can do and for me what he can't or doesn't do is more important. He can hold on to a ball but tends to hold on to it too long and often for no reason, he can shoot but not accurately often enough, he can dribble but no end result and he doesn't seem to see the player in a better position.
Shankly would eat him alive.
