Couldn’t the special news be a new 2-3 year Mane deal?

Also, the interview yesterday suggesting he’d do what the Senagalese fans wanted looked like joking around to me.

Maybe he is the stand up guy we all thought he was, and maybe Klopp sees a future for him at centre forward.

I’d have thought Klopp wants him to stay and I thought Mane was happy enough with his team mates and the club?

Just seen a press release of Mane’s interview after banging in a hattrick yesterday for Senegal and he’s said “ Yesterday at the press conference I joked about my future and it went viral, so I’m not going to make any comment anymore. I am a Liverpool player and I respect the club.

He baited us and the media and as gullible as we all are we bought it.

Klopp likes it or not we have no option coz like bobby Mane has already started showing signs of regressing hence he's being shifted in the middle.

If the club decides not to sell Salah and Mane and the players refuse to renew (as they have to date), then good luck replacing them without cash. It’s been explained we work on a hand to mouth basis and need sales to help purchase players. Equally I think renewing their contracts is a bad idea in any case. As we’d just be kicking this problem into the long grass and not dealing with it.

When we inevitably end up with rubbish similar to Borini, Balotelli or Lambert because we lose Mane and Salah for free and can’t afford to buy good players to replace them, then I’d suggest anyone saying we should let them see our their contracts shouldn’t complain.

Any sensible business plan would involve stopping negotiations and getting rid now rather than acquiesce and indulge these players and their agents. It sounds ruthless, but we have to be at this point, sentiment wins nothing.
