Great insight ed1 especially ramsdale who reminds me of a kid at school who would play in goal just to dive in the mud.

{Ed001's Note - he is embarrassing, his fist pumping after making a save a five-year-old could make like it is on a par with Gordon Banks save from Pele is cringeworthy. The Arsenal fans lap it up though and think it shows 'pashun', rather than just showing he is crap and thinks he is far better than he actually is.}

Bit harsh Ed. He’s actually a very sound guy and comes across very well in podcasts and interviews. A young player at a new team trying to create some togetherness with the fans which has been absent for sometime now at Arsenal.

{Ed001's Note - I don't care how well he comes across, he is a poor keeper and his attitude is embarrassing.}

I think some of the media are starting to catch on to him not actually being particularly good. A couple of shots went through him in the second half of the season.

Ed001 at it again (in a good way) . The hype over Arteta is absolutely everywhere and I cannot understand it. I’ve even seen some people claiming Arteta/ Arsenal will be competing for 90+ points within a season or two.

{Ed001's Note - really? What has he done that is so good? Every time I watch Arsenal they are truly awful.}

Hahahahaha love that ed1.

{Ed001's Note - I really just don't get the hype with some players. They can be awful on a repeated basis but somehow get so much love in the media ala Rudiger, because they show some of this pashun stuff. I would prefer a player who actually can play personally. Chelsea are much better with Thiago Silva, even though he shows little passion, because he is a brilliant player. Rudiger being in or out of the side made no difference at all because he is a bang average defender with poor positional sense.}

I find passion to be worthless. you have to be obsessed to be good in any field.

You're not getting it Livebird31. Passion combined with obsession is "pashun". 😉.

Ruthless when you want to be ed
Don't change.

{Ed001's Note - I thought I was being nice!}

Cheers for that Ed. When I think of the sublime football they played when challenging Man Utd, it’s amazing the fans accept the drivel from a manager out of his depth. I’m surprised the legends don’t come out with more criticism.

{Ed001's Note - they are mostly friends of his.}

Ed1. Couldn’t agree more. Find him embarrassing and the fact he makes so many fundamental mistakes that the Arsenal fans overlook is baffling. On a note regarding his attitude. Has anyone seen his post match interview with Rob Holding? Some will say it’s banter. But from Holding’s reaction it weren’t and he was thinking why would you say that. For those that don’t know it was regarding Holding’s hair transplant.

Ed01, Ramsdale is absolutely dreadful and the only other GK just as dreadful as him and who likes to show you know "pashun" and whind the oppo. up, is Pickford. Ironically, Both are part of the England setup. This is where we're at, mate.

As for overrated players and managers, we have a guy in Arteta who is relentlessly incompetent YET gets so much hype whereas a guy like Graham Potter at Brighton who is light years ahead of Arteta gets very little to no love. Again, the media know what they are doing.

As for Rudiger, I am glad someone else has seen it. The guy is brutal and in fact, a ton of the Chelsea fans wanted him gone BUT once Tuchel came in and played a back 3 with 2 other CB's there to hold his hand cos he is a loose cannon positionally, he looks good and these same fans now love him. Pashun? In the NFL, there's a saying that a lot of players play hard and show "pashun" like Ramsdale, Rudiger, Pickford etc. while very few players play smart as in actually, they know what they are doing on the pitch with no fanfair like Thiago Silva, Hendo, Fab and many others.

Ramsdale is overrated and he reminds me of David Platt's son in Coronation Street. Not David Platt the footballer who thought he was Italian after a spell playing there.
Another thing that bugs me, is players pounding the ground with their first after a mistake.
Diaz does it and he'd better stop.
