Ed you have mentioned last couple of days about Rice being a perfect signing as being a player to play alongside and replace Fabinho but that won't happen as he won't end up here?

Where do you see him ending up?

{Ed001's Note - if he moves this summer, I would expect him to be at City to replace Fernandinho.}

I personally feel Rice has Chelsea all over him, going back to where he was when young. Probably next year when available for cheaper due to 1 year left on contract. Be surprised if he ended up anywhere else.

{Ed077's Note - but Chelsea aren't interested in him. Both the Manchester clubs are. I know things can change but right now Chelsea aren't looking to bring him in.

Think it's going to be difficult for Chelsea to get him especially when they've more then few positions to address.

I thought Rodri was Fernandinho's replacement? Maybe City can look to a youth player to cover the few minutes he plays? ???.

Aren't City looking at Kalvin Phillips? I've said on here for some time that Rice would be a perfect signing for us. Can only dream.

Rice may well be a better athlete than Rodri, but Rodri is the better footballer. Rodri is very under rated. Technically he's one of the best midfielders in world football. I don't think it'd be a good career move for Rice to replace Fernandinho's odd cup game in midfield and emergency centre back cover.

Man City are probably the only team in Europe who Rice wouldn't walk in to.

Jeeeez. Rice is good but he is not that good. He has barley any goals or assists from midfield so he is more of a defensive player and I would rather have Fabinho over Rice 10 out of 10 times.

Rice has 'barley' any goals? I like it, Malak.

{Ed077's Note - Rice and Barley; they're not even the same Genus. Heck theyre different family.

Due to their price tags it would either Rice or Bellingham. I would go with Jude as he's younger. Plus Rice likely won't want us.

Spot on, MKS. Technically, Rice is well behind Rodri, IMO. Rice has a great engine on him and is a very good player BUT technical ability wise, he is not in Rodri’s or Fab’s league just yet. With time? Maybe.
