Just my thoughts but im thinking the prem is going to be the tightest its been in a long time.

Top 6 are all recruiting well but not only that the quality of managers/ coaches which they have at the minute it makes me feel this season is going to be the tightest we will have in a long time.

OP, that could be true BUT you have to consider how condensed the season will be and this is NOT the time to have to bed in 5/ 6 players like Spurs need to do. Or Arsenal who need 4/ 5 to bed in should they get their signings in. Most of all, these teams are not used to playing every 3 days cos Spurs and Arsenal ain't done that for the past 3/ 4 years. Chelsea may be less but I don't trust Tuchel to get a title chase off the ground neither do I rate their signings. I say all that to ay this: It'll be City and LFC again should both start the season flying out the traps. We shall see.

Time will tell. Everyone said Chelsea recruited well last season and they didn't last. I think Man City and LFC have set standards so high, the only way the other teams catch up is if us two drop off.

I still think that Pep and Klopp stand out as the two managers with the most attacking mindset though.
Spurs have spent a lot of money to satisfy Conte but no doubts he’ll still play his boring usual game.
There was talk of Chelsea going to a 4-4-2, that would be interesting with Koulibaly and Silva as the central defenders, lol.
In a defensive 3, however, Koulibaly looks like a ready made replacement for Rudiger, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see them continue with that system.
Man Utd are the new Ajax want to be’s, though I’m unsure where Maguire fits into that?

Either City or us will run away with it or will be us, City, Spurs and Chelsea in the mix. Conte is a top manager and Spurs have signed some good players. We need to have better results against these 3 teams to win it.

Spurs have bought a lot of players (because that’s Conte’s idea of being a good manager) but they haven’t bought anybody that makes me think they will improve. Conte tries not to lose rather than win and he gets rattled if he loses a couple.

It’ll be us and City again.

I hope it is a close League. How good will it be for football to see a close League. Millions of LFC fans love the fact we are challenging year in year out recently and I’m sure the 60 City fans worldwide are happy they’ve been winning League titles but there’s 18 other lots of club fans in this league who love their clubs like we do ours.

If more teams are successful then hopefully it encourages teams to have a go and not park buses because even though football is a business to the majority involved in football but to us fans it’s still entertainment and a sport.

I cannot wait for this season and wish all teams the best (except Utd and Everton ?) and May the best team win.

Bedding in numerous new players aside, Conte's strategy etc., I don't see all of those teams able to make up 20 to 25 points each in order for them to (if us and Man City operate at the same level) overhaul or even get close.

I feel like we've had this before, where we think someone in the top 5/ 6 is going to really push on. Yet in the last 5 years, City have won 4 league titles. And not only are Liverpool the only other team who have won a league in that time, I think we're the only team to get within 10 points of them when they have won.

I don't see why it'll be different this season. Sterling and Koulibaly imo are not game changers for Chelsea. Arsenal's manager isn't good enough and Man U still have to prove they're not a clownshow anymore.

Spurs idk. They've been active in the market and Conte knows how to win. But some of their signings don't convince me.

Tl;Dr I think it'll be us and City as top 2 by a margin again. Man U if EtH is all their fans want him to be might do top 4. Otherwise Chelsea and Spurs 3 and 4 comfortably.

SR on the Spurs and Chelsea signings, the only signing I would take among their signings combined is Bissouma. Apart from him, I wouldn't take ANY of their signings. Spurs's other signings? Yeah, washed the lot of them. Chelsea with Sterling? Not threatened whatsoever and wouldn't want him at LFC cos he isn't better than Diaz and definitely nowhere near the universe Salah lives in. He is a poor finisher, for me.

Khoulibaly? The version of Khoulibaly of 3 years ago? Yes, I would take him. This version? Nope, the guy is washed IMO and having never played in a back 4 for club and country, good luck with that, Chelsea fans.

Only my opinion but I def think Chelsea’s and Spurs signings player for player compared to what they had actually improves them but whether they fit into their systems and make them a stronger team then only time will tell.

But we haven’t stood still either. Our signings are just as likely to flop or succeed as other teams but what we have in Klopp is a manager who will manage these players expertly.

Even If 18 teams improve considerably from last year then they would likely still be a way off us and City. The only team that we should hope don’t improve is City. Because if they do then we will also need to improve as well. And with the levels both teams played at last season there isn’t a lot of improving that both could do in my books due to the strength of the league.

Re reading my comment I meant that the players they’ve signed player for player are better than what they had and only time will tell if they actually improve them as a team on the pitch.

Example being Ronaldo was a far better forward than what Utd had. But he didn’t improve them as a team on the pitch.

I hope its not close JK23, I hope we run away with it and win by about 20 points lol.
