Nunez is impressive. And I think he is forcing Klopp's hand in becoming a starter already. We all knew that Firmino and Nunez would switch places eventually, but I'm happy it'll be sooner rather than later, because it means Nunez is delivering on what he was bought for.

I just don’t think Bobby offers enough anymore to start but I like him coming off the bench to mix it up a bit.

Yeah I think nunez has to start next game v palace. klopp I'd say intended starting Bobby for first 2/ 3 league games and easing nunez in but bobby v poor yesterday (along with others) and wasn't in game against city in charity sheild either. 2 x night games coming up with good breaks in between I expect good reaction from us to poor performance yesterday. elliott I presume will replace thiago.

As good as it is for Nunez to be doing the business I think it’s just as important that Bobby is as well.

It’s against the grain to even dare question Bobby on here but he desperately needs a goal which will hopefully kick him on for the season. Diaz was quite quiet yesterday compared to the standards he set last season so again a goal for him will be great.

We have 5 forwards (6 with Carvalho) that need to do their bit this season and I imagine they will all have good and bad games but hopefully they can all find the net consistently.

I think if we had scored first yesterday it would have taken the sting out of the tail of Fulham.

Nunez is a beast. Just being there he caused more problems than bobby.
I’d like to see us start with Nunez and bring bobby on in behind him later in the day. If we’re not buying anyone else then switch the formation up a bit more often.

JK, I'm one of Firmino's strongest supporters and many know this. But even I see that he can no longer do what he used to do. But he's still a very worthwhile plus in the squad. And I'm all for a mix and match strategy of using both Firmino and Nunez in games, according to the kind of opponent. I'm happy with whatever Klopp decides.

Aray for me (others will think differently) I thought Bobbys best performance last season was the league game against Arsenal where he came off the bench and him and Jota scored. He literally changed the speed of the game when he came on as he had fresh legs against players that had played 60 mins.

I honestly see him being able to contribute significantly from the bench this season in similar circumstances. Of course some will disagree and believe he should still be starting but it’s just opinions and I’m sure Klopp will start him in lots of games this season.

It will be interesting to see and I hope Nunez keeps getting himself in positions to score. There were plenty of times he lost the ball easily when you’d expect our “big striker” to keep possession, kind of like how Mitrovic did for them. Anyways, I’m ok with either starting and am happy that he’s bagged a goal early in the season.
