Hi eds,

Some of your favourite current players?

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - I won't bother with Liverpool players, simply because anyone who pulls on a Liverpool shirt is one of my favourite players while they are wearing the shirt. I would still include Mane as a favourite, even though he has left, I still love him. Cucurella, Verratti, Hakimi, Mbappe, Bellingham, Fati, N'Golo Kante, Saliba. Oh Saka as well from Arsenal. Danny Ings, always liked him. Mbeumo and Canos at Brentford, I do tend to have a soft spot for a player like Canos or Dings that come back from serious injuries to play well. I like Webster and Gross at Brighton. Stuart Dallas at Leeds, I love those players that can play anywhere. Kulusevski and Son at Spurs, quality players those two. I would have said Coady too but I went off him recently, not sure why....}

Ed001 only because you have mentioned Mbappe. Have you seen the footage of PSG’s game from yesterday where Mbappe literally stops running and turns his back to his team mates and literally walks away mid counter attack because they didn’t pass the ball his way. The footage is not a very good look on his behalf.

Also just seen a stat that Haaland completed 2 passes yesterday in 74 mins and one of them was from kick off ?. Surely that can’t be true ?.

{Ed001's Note - no mate, not seen anything from yesterday yet.}

Ed1 when u are on the subject of good players, what u make of trossard at Brighton? Anytime I see he really impresses me, always a handful for the opposition. V surprised he never linked with so called bigger clubs . if I was man utd he would be a player I'd go for.

{Ed001's Note - flits in and out of games, lightweight and very inconsistent. Can be good but I think more of it is down to Potter being an excellent coach and getting the best from him, rather than him being anything special.}

Just a word to all posters: when Ed001 says he rates a player, go and watch them. You’ll soon see why.
Where would De Bruyne be on your list, Ed?

{Ed001's Note - these are favourites rather than just players I rate as such. Otherwise De Bruyne would have to be right near the top. As far as favourites go, I can't take to him at all as I always fear his head will explode when I watch him play. He goes so red in the face it is scary.}

Ed 001,

No goalkeepers? ;)

{Ed001's Note - Alisson has spoilt all other keepers for me, he is just so much better than the rest, they all look a bit lacking.}

Woah. Mbappe, embarrassing.

{Ed025's Note - another prick who is too big for his boots marto..

I agree on Ings. I always wanted him to do well pity his time with us was blighted by injury. I thought his work rate and obviously knowing where the net is would've been a big asset in this team. However my missus had a huge crush on him. So much so she wanted me to start getting into tattoos.

Mbuemo is massively under rated, always puts in a shift when I watch him play.

Huge Mbeumo fan i think he’d be superb for us. I think we needed a Jota on the opposite side. Someone who can play right wing and cut in onto their left foot as Salah cover or play up front. Adeyemi or Mbeumo id have loved.

{Ed014's Note - hasn’t he suffered with injuries, do you need that?

Danny Ings. What could of been if he didn’t get injuries while at Liverpool and him working under Klopp
Gutted!

Nice selections there, Ed01. As for Mbappe, Ed25 is spot on. Another spoilt brat who’s too big for his boots and whose ego is as large as the island of Paris itself.

{Ed001's Note - I am not so sure about that, there are a lot of problems at that club but he is not one of them.}

Ed001 whose your 5 least favourite players and why.

{Ed001's Note - Jack Grealish because somehow he seems to be able to be utter dog muck and still be talked about like he is the greatest player on earth. His only real skill is cheating.
Fernandinho because he could decapitate someone without getting a card.
Lionel Messi because he is a horrible, nasty little get who has the world convinced he is a nice guy.
Neymar shouldn't be allowed on a pitch and should be in jail. If his diving and playacting wasn't enough reason to hate him, his off field actions that got him the boot from Nike are.
Aaron Ramsdale and Jordan Pickford are in a tie. Arrogant strutting pricks who are actually crap keepers. Because they make easy saves look so difficult, people think they are pulling off worldies, rather than noticing they were just way out of position and would have been able to to catch the ball had they been in the right place.}

Ed001 cheers for such a swift reply mate I actually enjoyed reading that.

You’ve almost nailed my top 5 with yours. My only changes would be Messi and Ramsdale out and Richarlison in.

Bernardo Silva I would imagine would be in a lot of fans but I actually like some of his s##t housery as he sets himself up for that fall but then backs it up. Which is the wax t opposite of Richarlison.

All time villian though goes to Diouf, just a shame he didn’t play back in the 70’s / 80’s when he would have gotten a proper slap off the real hard men of football.

{Ed001's Note - Richarlison is a good shout, I just forgot about him. And I 100% agree on Diouf.}

I agree about Ramsdale and Pickford.
I love a keeper 'celebrating' a save or pounding the turf with his fist after a mistake.

I know he has retired but got to love Peter Crouch? And yeah agree with the hated players Ed mentioned but I would add Sterling to that list he is horrid. Hate that we play Monday night but yesterday made up for us not playing haven’t laughed so hard in a while just a great day.

PSG have created a monster with the terms of Mbappe’s contract. Hopefully it’ll be to their detriment this season.

Can you imagine what is like for a defender playing in front of Pickford and Ramsdale. They seem super hyper and attention-seeking. Joe Hart was similar too in that way. Is it modern feature of English keepers?

For contrast, take a look at Kelleher. Super-chill.

I have a similar complexion to De Bruyne Ed. Yep, we go red very quickly as we easily overheat. It is useful in the cold though. Ginger problems!

Nothing wrong with being ginger!
Not sure how useful it is in the cold though.

could not agree more on your least favorite players Ed. Neymar is #1 for me. Cheating prick. Grealish and Richarlson 2 and 2A and not far behind Neymar.

{Ed001's Note - everything about Neymar is vile.}

I think the footballing media are going to catch on to Ramsdale, Ed. He let another shot go through him against Leicester yesterday.

{Ed001's Note - ah but he shows pashun so must be good.}
