Quick question lads, there's a lot of talk about Trent going and, if he does; chatter about who will replace him.
Is Bradley not going to step-up?
Is he not ready?

I think it's more a case of who would replace Bradley, as he's more than ready to be first choice, but will need a competent squad player to keep him fresh and injury free.
That's if Trent goes, but I don't think he will.

Bradley’s injury record worries me he seems to be able to put brilliant performances but he just seems to always pick injuries up after 3/ 4/ 5
Starts . I’d say we replace Trent with a 1st teamer
And allow Bradley to be back up.

Imo footballing wise bradley ready no problem to be 1st choice. he's a different type of rb but then there nobody similar to trent anyway.
My only problem with bradley is how often he's injured, I think it's now 5 injuries he's had in less then a year, and all injuries that kept him out for fair amounts of time. If trent goes, which I'm pretty sure he will at this stage, we definitely need to get a rb in, whether we can take somebody threw or sign somebody we can't gamble on bradley fitness.

Bradley can’t stay fit even though he is not playing most games. We will need a quality rb if Trent goes.

Bradley has had 3 seperate injuries so far this season, despite playing minimal games, its very worrying tbh. Don't know if this is the norm with him but if it is, then i don't think he is Trent's long term replacement sadly.

Quality defender or quality attacking RWB @Mark?

And that’s the crucial point Mark, he isn’t staying fit even when he isn’t playing 90 minutes. How many times will he break down when he is first choice.
It sucks because he is so promising but if sprinting causes him to break down repeatedly, that is a massive part of his game to compensate for.

Maybe it's the stop/ start nature of his selection that is leading to the increased number of injuries and maybe being given a consistent run in the team would help him stay fit? (I've no idea, I'm just playing devils advocate)

I've seen it said that Trent is actually playing through pain right now and has been carrying an injury that hasn't fully healed and which will probably require surgery when the season ends, hence arne taking him off early recently, and also why Trent doesn't look to be moving as freely as we are used to seeing him.
If that's true and he is insisting on playing games rather than making himself unavailable because of fear of aggravating the injury, then I think posters here would be entirely wrong to say that he is halfway to Madrid, saunters around off the ball, can't be arsed about defending, doesn't care about the club, has checked out to real etc. looking at his celebration after scoring and how he celebrates with his team mates, how he recovered after that horror show at united etc., he looks like he is 100% on the same page as all of us and is putting everything out there on the field to try and win this title. For me it seems (and this is purely based on observation) like there is hope yet that he will stay, we'll just have to wait and see.

He’s also young - he is still growing - there have been af number of players with similar muscle related injuries in recent times.

Even if his injuries improve, we'll need a capable player to compete with Bradley.
We could go for someone that is completely different to Bradley, like a Geertruida, who Slot managed at Feyenoord. Or we could look at one of the Brasilian lads - Vanderson at Monaco or Wesley at Flamengo, who was linked with us the other day.
There is no alternative to Trent. He's a unicorn.

Is Ramsay thought of as a viable option?
Anyone know how he’s getting on at Kilmarnock?

Ramsay is not a viable option at all no. Couldn't make the bench for 90% of Struggeling league 1 wigan's games and now sits on the bench for Kilmanrock playing some minutes here and there. Some youngsters stop trying when they get their big move it seems.

Cheers for the reply Kurt.
Shame, as we had high hopes for him back in ‘22.
