I see a lot of people suggesting Richard Hughes is completely blameless for current contract issues, and none of it is his fault because he simply inherited the situation. Now for those people I have a question

Imagine I bought a house and there was a turd on the living room floor. Almost 12 months of me living there and the turd is still there

Do my friends criticise me for not doing anything about it? Question whether I'm clinically insane, maybe demand I stop being so lazy and refuse to visit until I get rid of the tied.

Or alternatively do they feel sorry for me and admit I am blameless because I inherited the situation?

{Ed001's Note - you mean Ward right? He is the one responsible for the contracts.}

Ed01, as a suggestion, why don't you change the name of this site to "Richard Hughes doesn't do contracts", then it might sink in with some posters.

The problem with your “turds” is the clean up job is you doing it and that’s it, with a contract renewal there are multiple parties and their respective preferences involved!

By no means sympathizing with either hughes or ward, just your analogy is sh*tty!

Ed unfortunately Julian Fraud slander isn’t popular enough, and he also isn’t new so this joke wouldn’t work. Please don’t let facts get in the way of an agenda.

Ed, would love to see your breakdown of this process regarding the contracts of the three after it is over, kind of like your game reviews. Would really love your perspective. should be a fascinating read. Also, would love to hear what Ed025 has to say, he can be the voice of reason during emotional times like this.

{Ed025's Note - heres my take on things Stone, i think heads should roll the way this has all been handled as it should never have got to this position, with 2 years to go on a contract negotiations should start on a new deal and then the players have 6 months to agree terms or be put on the transfer list, they are 3 very special players mate and to lose them for nothing would be absolutely criminal imo, we are talking at least £300m worth of talent here and they could leave for nothing and that for me is totally beyond belief, at this stage now if they are not totally committed to LFC then it would be best if they left, but lessons must be learned as this sort of business is not sustainable and should never happen again..

What a very bizarre analogy!

The reality is a turd is very easy to clean off the floor.

Signing the three players to new contracts who are already being offered potentially lucrative deals from other clubs is very tough.

Ed025 you summed it up perfectly mate. To potentially lose £300m of playing talent is an absolute joke. Imagine a company losing £300m of stock heads would 100% roll and it's no different than what's happening at Liverpool.

{Ed025's Note - i think it was a schoolboy error Barry, of course this is just my view mate and im sure some would disagree, but you are right Baz very poor business..

ED001.That's exactly what should happen . if they don't sign within the 2 years left . then on the transfer list they go. no matter who they are . n let them sign for whoever pay the most money even if it's our rivals.

Mifgt as well do that, Rome1977! cos the amount of people who just blatantly insult this fella despite not knowing who he is nor what he does, is just cringe.
