Classy, very classy.

I’m guessing you’re not describing Utds performance today?
If it’s regarding Trent then maybe not having a photo of a player who two footed a fan would be a good start before you get on the high horse.

11 May 2025 19:54:28
Deflection tactics, nice. This isn't about how cr4p United are, it's about your fans booing one of their own. SMH.
7.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 19:56:34
Lol united fans haven't been able to have many digs recently.
Let's be honest tho, booing trent was i. Poor taste and very disappointing from that group of fans.
8.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:05:11
Some of your fans booed off Joshua Zirkzee earlier this season because he had a poor half. No emotional attachment. No other extenuating circumstances. Your fans booed the lad off because he had a bad half.
So give your head a wobble and step outside that glass house of yours.
9.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:05:16
Booing our own is disappointing and certainly flies in the face of best supporters in the world.
{Ed025's Note - that is a self proclaimed title Rome, and incidents like today make us believe that was never really the case anyway mate..
10.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:10:15
The United fan is right. Absolute stain on the Liverpool fans today. Have supported the club for 40 plus years, and this has tarnished the season for me.
Do these twits boo Klopp when he returns? I mean he also left having given a decade of success when he just needed a fresh challenge.
If this is what the fanbase has become, then I will no longer feel so sentimental about the emotional connection the fans have with our players.
The twits today were not in the minority - loads of people rich enough to secure a ticket booed one of our greats when the game was in the balance.
Bet those fans can’t wait to get home and tell their kids / parents how they stuck it to Trent today.
Absolute trash merchants.
11.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:15:02
Didn’t United fans boo Zirkzee a couple of months ago?
{Ed025's Note - two wrongs have never made a right Thunderbird..

Joshua Zirkzee, I’ll leave it there.

14.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:21:38
Can't disagree, Ed. It was the minority, but a loud minority and it's getting louder.
{Ed025's Note - yeah i was not happy about that myself Rome, things have changed with all supporters it seems mate...and not for the better, but as i have said before i think its more about society in general rather than football fans in particular, and the lack of respect..
15.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:21:42
- that is a self proclaimed title Rome
A bit like “The people’s club” ?.
{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that Irish..

11 May 2025 20:35:15
Well said monster.
17.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:42:09
So what if they did? Doesn’t mean we have to do the same to a lad who has been a true legend, and just wants to try himself out in a different league. It’s a total stain.
As an Irish lad, it was always a choice between United, Arsenal and Liverpool - but my Dad told me that Liverpool fans always gave ex-players a huge reception, so my mind was made up.
That has been blown asunder today. Genuinely heartbroken.
18.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:42:49
Rome I was in the crowd today mate and whilst I have no physical evidence to back this up I’d say it was the majority booing mate.
I’ll hold my hands up and say I didn’t boo myself bit most around me did. The only time it eased was one Trent stepped up for the free kick.
I think for the good of him and the good of the club I’d say it’s better off he doesn’t feature the last two games.
Also Didn’t Greenwood and Anthony get done for assaulting females yet got passes from their fan bases. Welcome to 2025 I suppose.
19.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:48:20
Some fans did Zirkzeez and the next game all the fans sang his name realising what t1ts they had been.
20.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:56:00
JK, I was going to ring you but didn't get to ground till late. I was in upper main stand and by me it was loud but still minority. I was surrounded by scousers and those by me didn't boo. This has really divided supporters. The concensus on our coach is to neither boo or cheer, but everyone is entitled to their opinion and to do what they want. I think Slot read the room wrong and would've been better putting Endo at right back. The whole game and crowd changed when Trent came on, like you say.
21.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:13:04
It seemed like the majority and rightly so. He’s leaving his home club to go the the enemy that he couldn’t stop.
22.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:53:06
Ed 25, Everton was never an option as my oldest brother already supported them, and he was, still is, quite an unusual character.
{Ed025's Note - looks like you missed out big time MS.. :)
23.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 20:56:54
He is not one of our own he got rid even when we are at the top. He is RM own now. This was a great chance to change the narrative promote Liverpool as a City. You have read the room completely wrong ed. Trent got off very lightly imo.
{Ed025's Note - all about opinions i suppose Mark, i have mine and you have yours mate, i will not hold the fact you are wrong against you though.. :)
24.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:05:49
No worries Rome mate. We’ll get there eventually ?.
Yeah I was totally not expecting it, if I’m honest I was never expecting him to even come on.
I was in the Anfield upper and there were lots of boos and then arguments amongst supporters over the boos. I’ve just now seen video footage of fighting amongst fans outside the Kop after the game which is unheard of.
25.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:09:25
Players never disrespectfully turned their back on our club this bad before so blame society all you want but trent has had a massive say in the boos.
{Ed025's Note - you have a very short memory then OSK, its happened before and will again my friend..money will dictate that..
26.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:10:29
Right for what it’s worth here’s my take on this.
Firstly - United fans have no room to criticise given they’ve done something similar so crawl back under your rock and sod off.
Secondly - I don’t believe any player should ever be booed when they are on the pitch and trying to win for Liverpool. We support the team no matter what,
Thirdly - all players are transient employees of the club. It a player gives there all and leaves at the end of the contract they signed up to - good luck to them.
Finally - despite point three, the Trent situation just doesn’t feel the same. That’s not grown up me talking rationally. It’s the little scouse boy in me who dreamed of playing for Liverpool. The boy who would have given anything to do what Trent is doing right now. To me, as a scouser, there wasn’t, and isn’t, anything better to do in club football than win major trophies with this club. Trent is doing exactly that and it isn’t enough for him. Trying something “different” is a cop out in my opinion. He wants something bigger and better. To me that’s a betrayal of the young Liverpool fans when one of your own, who is living the dream each of their fans has in their heart, has everything you ever want and essentially tell them it isn’t enough. That just hits different. Maybe sentimental nonsense but that’s how I feel.

11 May 2025 21:22:15
AJH, we haven't had the next game maybe we will do the same. Far too early to judge.
Football is an emotional sport and rational goes out the window in the microcosm of a game. Added to that herd mentality and you'll get odd reactions.
I wouldn't of booed, but having some fans feel hurt by his decision and booing. I can understand why they felt like that was an appropriate reaction.
Liverpool is our club and our dream to play for them, to see someone have it all in our eyes and decide the grass is greener, especially Madrid who have our number will sting. Add to that some of his celebrations, his talking gesture in particular could be read it was aimed at us.
This isn't a case of black and white, right and wrong. For some, its complex and they are right to an opinion. But what is wrong is to make out the whole fan base are classless over the actions of some.
28.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:22:40
At least we didn’t block his in his car and threaten him like you lot did to Gordon 25, and you got a fee.
{Ed025's Note - so that makes it right 29?, how shallow..
29.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:29:03
Jk I don’t care if it’s. 2025 or 19565 if you crap on your home town that you claim to Love what do you expect?
30.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:30:32
Tony, I agree that some fans are idiots and should not have booed the guy - he's leaving, yes it's disappointing but hey it happens, move on
It is somewhat incredulous though that a Utd fan is highlighting this bad behaviour though, I mean given the support that Greenwood got, and still has, from your own fans - jeez lad, anyone that listened to that recording and still wants/ wanted him anywhere near their club has something seriously wrong with them - people in glass houses and all that Tony, may your fans remain classy.
31.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:53:12
If Mark 08 is what this club has become, then I am done with it. If being a fan is now about anonymously abusing one of our greats, then good luck to you. I just can’t align myself with such values - which, frankly, I think are totally alien to this city’s heritage.
32.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:45:17
You are a champion of the city and this goes against everything you preach. We agree on most things but I am sure given time you will admit you mistakes.
{Ed025's Note - i am a champion of this city Mark, thats why i dont like one of our own being vilified mate, in the end he has not killed anyone and its just football..
33.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:49:41
Ed0025 in fairness mate it’s easy to blame society and sometimes it does feel like the worlds gone mad but as the older Gentleman that you are I imagine you’ll remember years gone by when hooliganism was the in thing and fans were trying to do each other serious harm. Now we are getting all emotional over some boos and next thing you know it’ll be the incorrect use of pronouns that gets us all upset on here ?.
{Ed025's Note - i remember the 70,s and 80,s very well JK and had some very scary moments at away grounds mate, maybe thats why a player leaving to join another club in a different country does not seem that important to me..
34.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 21:59:27
All these trent fan boys do my head in. he has run down his contract deliberately n got a move to a team who we all dislike we get no 50/ 60 million in our kitty. he's a local so should know better . you heard what the fans think of him at the match but the righteous on here take it like we've spat in God's face for criticising the judas. I hope it goes tits up for him in Madrid. he'll be sold for profit in a year or two. end up at Chelsea.
35.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 22:01:09
Mark my 2025 comment was in accordance with the Anthony and Greenwood part of the reply. Where a blind eye was turned to abuse of females and knickers are getting in a twist over some booing.
36.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 22:09:13
This club is about sticking together through the storm. You do not down tools vMan U and you do not gesture to your own supporters to stop the noice. He played the loyalty of the supporters. If you crap on the supporters they will turn on you. If you want to stop your support for the club it’s up to you.
37.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 22:09:53
Zirkzeze is still in the team and unless the team flog him off, he will be there next season. The context is different.
And honestly, who gives af. we know it's some fans not the entire fanbase. Like are we saying that all man United fans are absolute t*ts cos some in the stadium sing derogatory chants?
Thing with Trent is that the timing of him leaving is while the team is at the dawn of a new era and he is leaving on a free. We don't need inside knowledge to know that he could have agreed a contract with us so that we could potentially sell him later. Without that happening, we can only assume that there had been some prior arrangement with Real madrid to leave for free.
I am sad for him and that it's ending this way, but imo his decisions have contributed to this. The combo of the timing and leaving on a free aren't great optics in his favour.
So it is what it is I'm afraid.
38.) 11 May 2025
11 May 2025 22:21:59
He’s letting the City down end. Especially when one club is at the top. I would say the same if it was an Everton lad. You’re totally missing the bigger picture. Before you know it both clubs will be back scratching around for 7th and this did not help. Never say how did it all go so horribly wrong.

I suppose some fans are seeing this in the same way as a breakup. They thought that Trent (their partner) was going to be with them forever, now Trent has said he wants to move on, try something new. They feel betrayed and hurt, so are letting out their anger. Now I don't agree with the booing, but a lot of us have been their. The break up analogy I mean.
