Ed01, what's your thoughts on next season? A lot is dependent on incomings I guess, but if we sign those we expect, how do you see things going?
I think City have done some good business this year and will be interesting to see how the new players settle.
I think If we can get a ST signed up along with Wirtz and Kerkez, I think we're favourites for the league.

{Ed001's Note - I am expecting a much tighter season, City will be better and they will, at the very least, push us hard. Though there is of course the hope that Lijnders has lots of input and that will hinder them. I can see Arsenal being up there again, but I can't see them winning the title with Artita in charge. He is a complete flake. Away with the fairies that guy. Lives in a bubble of nonsense which is holding them back.}

What do you mean Ed? Arsenal were the best team in the Champions League last season and the only reason that they didn't win the Premier League was that we were in the right place at the right time!

If City can keep rodri fit and getting away with yellow and red card offences every game, they can be camped out in the opposition half where reijnders and cherki are deadly. If they can't contain and defend in the midfield again though the two players they bought are liabilities. Marmoush was a very good buy and a smart replacement for Alvarez, really. Gonzalez, however, I fail to see where he fits in now that Reijnders can do his job, but better. Ait-nouri is not a great player so I'm not sure there's much to worry about there. If Arsenal get a striker and somebody to attack space in behind and attacking space in the box then they could be dangerous. Given they're probably buying Sesko I'm not sure he'll make the transition as quickly as they might hope. If we get our forward signing right, I'm sure even bitter pundits would have us marked as favourites to win it (which is not our favourite position to be in, we prefer being underdogs haha) .

I can really see a 2 horse race again next season, like the ones Klopp had with Pep. Hopefully we come out on top by 1 point this time! As PB said, Rodri is key and Cherki will have a lot more influence on games than pretty boy pi55head Grealish has done!

Thanks Ed, pretty much fully agree, though I do worry where the goals will come from if we don't sign a forward. I'm sure Salah will make me eat my words, but I'll be surprised if he has another season like last.
