NEWCASTLE ACCEPT RECORD BID FROM LIVERPOOL FOR STAR STRIKER

It is understood that Newcastle United have this morning accepted a British Record Transfer Fee from Liverpool FC for star striker, Andy Carroll. It is believed the £35 million move could now pave the way for Fernando Torres to complete his move to Chelsea before tonight's transfer deadline.

Every time I think of Carroll I think of him getting an injury from falling off a bar stool. Still the most bizarre injury in football that I can remember, but 10000% appropriate when you remember that it's Andy Carroll we're talking about.
