Ed what you think of Zaha for rotation with mane and salah. He reminds me of mane when he was at southampton good winger inconsistent in front of the goal and doesn't work enough defensively but in a better team i think he would improve drastically.
He wants champions league football he is better than cornet a little expensive but 50 mil and harry wilson is better than evertons rejected bid.
Zaha or Inaki williams would be perfect to the way we play.

{Ed001's Note - he is absolutely nothing like Mane. He has no end product unless he falls over and is given a decision. They want far too much for an average, on his best days, player.}

Agree4 Disagree0

Wilson can shoot, pass and cross a ball. Which is more than you can accuse Zaha of doing, although Zaha did get caught playing hide the sausage with Moyes daughter. Which never ceases to make me laugh.

{Ed025's Note - i dont know how much you have seen of wilson 6times, but for me he is exactly what he was last season...an average championship player, i actually dont want everton to go for zaha but hes head and shoulders a far better player than wilson mate, take the red tinted specs off my friend..

When Mane was at Soton he was a raw talent, quick and strong and a little rash in his decision making and lacking composure. He just needed polishing and maturing.

Zaha thinks he's Ronaldo. He is quick and strong but would rather try step overs and tricks and spins and then fall over to try and get a decision rather than using his strengths to beat players and provide for his team.

They are nothing alike and Zaha would need a hell of a lot of work to make him what we needed. Certainly not worth anywhere near what they are asking. If this was a Shaqiri type scenario where the fee was low and we could take a punt on him turning into something great then maybe. But right now it would be a wasteful purchase.

{Ed025's Note - i agree with that reddawn, the fee they are asking is ridiculous mate..

30 Jul 2019 18:41:43
Haven't you noticed Ed? We hype up our young players and then when they end up in the third tier of English football like Ben Woodburn we start bigging up the next one.

{Ed025's Note - i have noticed that L8, it puts pressure on them which is not helpful imo and i just hope brewster will be the exception, i hope they blood him in slowly by bringing him on as sub in a few games and playing him in the cups because throwing him to the lions will be a massive risk mate..

30 Jul 2019 18:31:45
Mane when he was at southampton wasn't the world class player he is today and when he signed was getting criticized for wasting too many chances but he improved every year now he is one of the best in Pl.
Would you like Inaki or which player would you like to come to rotation with front 3

Thank you for all your work.

{Ed001's Note - he was not like Zaha though, Mane was Southampton's top scorer and scored goals, he was skilful and threatening. His only problem was attitude. The moment he joined us he became our most important player and we were lost when he got injured in his first season. There is absolutely no comparison with Zaha, who I am pretty sure is older than Mane as well as not even close to his level.

I would like Brewster to be the rotation option. I am not convinced by Inako, now he wastes too many chances.}

ed025 my thoughts on Zaha are at nearly 27 don't see him getting much better than what he is now. I would not want he to sign for us and I think Everton should stay well clear of him he would be a Yannick Bolasie mark 2. the way palace play helped both of them because they defend so deep that there is a lot of space to run into. which is why Sakho is a good defender for them because they are so compact.

{Ed025's Note - its hard to argue with that grino mate..

30 Jul 2019 18:54:33
Zaha is not even in the same solar system as our Sadio. Not even anywhere close to it. Zaha is nothing but a flashy player who lacks end product, inconsistent, and seems to pick the games he plays in to shine. I'd rather keep Wilson (even if he is inferior to Zaha which is not saying a whole lot) that spend crazy money on well, Zaha. He is not good enough to even be part of a rotation with either of Salah or Mane. As for how much CP want for him, they can kick rocks with that nonsensical amount cos no Sporting Director with a functioning brain, will put that money up.

{Ed025's Note - he is no where near as good as mane redwolf thats a given, but he is a better option than wilson mate, there is no comparison in the levels they have both played at and is yet another over-hype of a liverpool player..

30 Jul 2019 19:09:23
ed025 I don't think you can compare Wilson and Zaha but at what they are asking I would rather have Wilson in are squad and he has only just turned 22 so will be open to a lot of improvement, Zaha turns 27 in November and against the smaller sides at home when teams are sitting behind the ball the one thing Wilson has got his a great strike on him so I would rather have him for nothing than Zaha for £60m+.

{Ed025's Note - at that price your probably right grino, but all things considered and if money was not an issue you would have to go with zaha mate..

30 Jul 2019 19:23:52
UTD overpayed for Wan-Bissaka. Anyone on the cheapest drugs not going to pay what Palace want for Zaha either.

{Ed025's Note - aaron is only 22 and yes the fee was high max but in the scheme of things he seems a better purchace than zaha would be imo..

30 Jul 2019 19:25:55
ed025 if money was not an issue I would take Sane for city and Son Heung-min from spurs lol.

{Ed025's Note - you and me both grino mate..

30 Jul 2019 19:34:48
Ed025, UTD probably got a discount for paying most of Wan-Bissakas fee upfront. Palace wanted more for him.

{Ed025's Note - palace are just like west ham and spurs max, they want teams to pay miles over the top for their players yet want to buy for buttons...cheeky sods..

30 Jul 2019 20:49:54
Bigging up our youngsters is no different than ed25 bugging up his unproven trophy-less squad haha.

{Ed025's Note - that could well change this coming season faith.. :)

30 Jul 2019 20:50:16
No they don't want to sell, and don't have to.

30 Jul 2019 20:54:39
Ed25, you are very right. I'm not one of those who thinks that any LFC player is automatically better than players from other teams cos he plays for us. Or think like many others, that a player is automatically better than ours cos he does not play for us. Wilson is nowhere close to Zaha's overall ability. Having said that, I'd rather keep Wilson than splurge on well, Zaha.

{Ed025's Note - if i was liverpool i would never buy saha redwolf, for the price they are asking there is hell of a lot better out there mate..

30 Jul 2019 21:18:56
You can’t beat pace. Zaha would be deadly for Liverpool.
I can’t criticise Brewster at all but Zaha has quality.
His pace allows you to play all kinds of ways, I think he’d frighten the life out of teams, including City.
Imagine being 1-0 up and bringing Zaha on.
Scary pace that’s impossible to defend against.
I think he’d tear Europe up too. Especially away from home.

{Ed025's Note - hes a good player juicer but the price they are asking is insane mate..

30 Jul 2019 21:45:34
These exact same points about lacking end product were made about Sterling last Summer and look how that turned out.
He’s priced at £20 - 30m too much but still a devastating player.

30 Jul 2019 22:38:40
Inaki Williams is a very good player.

31 Jul 2019 03:55:17
I don't think Zaha would want to be second choice, but leaving that aside for a minute. On what planet is Zaha worth £70 Million?

Would he improve our bench, sure. At £70 Million? are fans insane? there's a reason the only club strongly linked to him from the top 6 is Arsenal. His ability to beat a man is impressive but his lack of end product is a massive hinderance which is why he hasn't pushed on to a top team. The club doesn't have unlimited resources and I'd much rather we spend intelligently in order to ensure long term success. £75 Million for Van dijk, Fine. £70 Million for a backup? yikes. £70 million for Zaha? good god.

{Ed001's Note - how the hell can anyone compare him with Sterling, who was just a kid while Zaha should be at his peak? Ridiculous. Zaha is not good enough, Wilson scores more, of the two Wilson is a much better bet and I am not convinced Wilson is good enough.}

31 Jul 2019 13:58:33
ed25 - I guess we'll see mate! genuine question - is there any morale victory in beating liverpool in a season when liverpool wins a trophy and everton do not?

{Ed025's Note - only for the bragging rights in the city faith, grasping at straws a bit i know but when your down in the dumps any chance to get one over your noisy neighbours helps mate..

31 Jul 2019 16:50:20
Exactly Ed001. Not comparable to Sterling at all. At 26 Zaha can't be considered "raw", he's close to what his best will be and if that's the case he simply isn't good enough. Not for anywhere close to the money Palace want.

{Ed001's Note - he is not even close to good enough.}
