How blessed are we best centre back in the world arguably best left and right back, best defensive midfielder ( name me one better ) , best front 3, hopefully when allison back fit best keeper in the world, that's a lot of serious quality, too think were we have come since klopp took over and the levels reached makes me sit back and think wow! What a ride doubters too believers!

Best cb fine, best lb maybe, but Trent isn’t the best right back. I wouldn’t swap him for anyone, but he’s not the best in the world as he stands, his defensive game needs improving. Argue kante is still better than Fabinho in his role, but fabs is still great and such a good signing. I’m not a doubter at all, I’m just realistic.
We have a fantastic team, with amazing players and an amazing manager, but the team is built for the way we play. Fabinho sits in to cover the gaps, the other two mids cover the full backs when they go forward. Bobby allows mane and salah space to run and creates. In our system, it’s hard to pick ‘better’ players, but it doesn’t mean they are best in the world. I would rather mane over Ronaldo, but doesn’t mean mane is better than ronaldo.

I would argue that we don’t have many players who are the best players in their position. Perhaps Virgil and Alisson. But the rest are the best players for Klopp’s system. They may not be perfect players but they are perfect for this Liverpool team.

Yes g1 it seems the way that klopp trusts certain players too make the machine function the way it does, as I said earlier when klopp took over we were a joke defensively no identity no confidence no direction no belief it shows how good klopp is and the team around him, also I must say kante is insanely good but aerial ability and being able too slot in defence just pips it for Fabihno Haha.

I think its perfectly put g1dgo, could n't have been explained better . not taking anything away from the players but all credit to Klopp and his coaching team they put the delicate jigsaw puzzle together piece by piece
Saying that, we need to win more to justify the hard work . so far its only one trophy, yes its a big one but Rafa showed us and the world you can win it on shoe string budget and an ageing squad . If Klopp leaves tomorrow, premier league history will show that Mourinho disastrous 2 + bit years at united were more successful that Klopp years at Liverpool.

Kante ran all over Fabs in the Supercup. Fabs is only just starting his Liverpool career no way is he best in the world in his position. Didn't even make the Brazian squad in the summer. That was a terrible decision but best in the world is a big stretch.
Robbo, I certainly think he has a good case. Also Mane.

This made me laugh so hard snot came out my nose. The only best player in the world we have is vvd. Taa nowhere near the best rightback. Alison is not in top 5 keepers.

Mark again, your slating of Fab lacks complete context and is quite myopic. It was clear that our whole midfield was out of sync in that game with gaps opening up all over the middle as soon as we lost the ball. Therefore, you slating Fab that Kante (great player) ran all over Fab is bogus cos you conveniently fail to mention that he was left alone with runners (Kante included) running at him with no cover from his midfield mates. Or did you miss that obvious observation by chance?
This is the same crap people used to slate Lucas with when he was here with people forgetting that Gerrard would always leave him hanging after getting caught out in attack and losing the ball BUT no one dare criticize capt. fantastic whenever he screwed up, clearly. Bottom line is that nobody in that midfield played well in the Super Cup so singling out Fab for your bile is dishonest and pathetic.
As for whether he is world class or not, I don't care cos he is great for what we do and is already 2 best at the DM position to probably Fernandinho, in the PL. That's good enuff for me.

Name 5 keepers better than Allison Walter (this will be funny) . You are right about TAA as he is young and will learn the defensive side. Salah and definitely Mane would walk into any team in the world right now.

Pipe down Redwolf are we not allowed to say anymore when a player has a poor game? The midfield was poor in the Supercup but Fabs was the worst. Are we not allowed to say we don't think he is best in the world?
Fabinho is getting better (learning the prem) but for me he does sometimes put us in trouble with square passes in front of the box. After all he has really only played 6 months in the pl and can only see him improving.
One thing I am very glad to see is you took my advice and stopped with the stupid capitals.

Greenflash, yes TAA is young and inexperienced in the right back position, as it isn't even his natural position. He is played there for his creativity and relative nous in defence, but I'll stress again, it's not his position, and he has orders to march forward whenever possible, making him vulnerable. The whole reason that we play him there is that he assists in so many attacks.

How I see this topic trying to look without red tinted glasses is that I'd call VVD the best CB around. I'd have allison and robbo in the definate top 3 in their positions with argument of being no.1. Kante is not a DM in the same role or type fabinho is. I wouldn't swap Fabinho for anyone currently, busquets, fernandinho, matic, khedira, have had their success over recent years but no one stands out currently in the position. Mane salah and firmino are perfect for us and I can't rate them as individuals in a different setup team. Each player has doubled their best numbers since playing together for us. Trent is far from the world's best RB as an overall player.
Put firmino up front for juventus, put robbo LB for atletico Madrid, put fabinho DM for bayern Munich, put mane in Barcelona team and you might not see the best of those players. We currently are draining every inch of quality out of their strenghts and making them perform among the best around.
