I know there’s been debate on here recently saying Bobby is our most important player. But I’ve just read a stat that since Fab has been signed he’s started 25 premier league games of which we’ve lost 0. We’ve won 21 and drawn 4. For me that just shows that even the unsung players are just as important as the Mo’s, VVD’s, Mane’s & Bobby’s of the team. Every single one of those players play their part in making us the team that we are.

Imagine if we signed Aguero though. our front three would be Mane Salah and Firmino.

I don't think anyone said he is more important that VVD. I think people were saying he was the most important forward player in their opinion. I agree with you all the players are vitally important, they will play great games, good and have bad games. They have all proved at various times they deserve our support. You can sometimes say they had a poor game but you can't question their attitude and work ethic on the pitch.

Mane been here over 3 years and I read he is unbeated at Anfield.

Imagine if we kept Sterling though! Our front three would be Mane, Salah and Firmino.

Yeah, it's so easy to forget that it's a team sport above all, composed of 11 players making a contribution. We're all too busy looking for heroes or zeroes. 😉.

I love Bobby and know he is key in how we play and for Mo and Sadio but no one will convince me that Aguero would be on the bench instead of Bobby. The guys a goal scoring machine and often takes up positions that Mo and Sadio don’t so wouldn’t even be a problem in that count either.

However I’m perfectly happy with who we have so who cares.

Did the person who came up with that stat not think that since last season we have started 43 games, won 35, lost one, and drawn 7? How can anyone deduce that games with Fab starting were any better for us? He basically just didn't start the City game which we lost. And didn't he come off the bench moments before Sane scored the winner?

Fab is an incredible player and we are so much better with him. But the stat and the meaning taken from it is nonsense.

Very impressive to say the least!

I love fab, mo, bobby (alot) mane, alisson. But our most important player is vvd, closely followed by jordan henderson.

Yeah it's an impressive looking stat but doesn't mean anything really. You would think matip was roughly similar, Origi too. Fabinho of course is hugely important and it's clear to see he strengthens us in his role but those stats offer no real relevancy. In the 18 games he hasn't started we won 14 drew 3 and 1 loss. Loss to city, draws against spurs and Chelsea, .

Adrian has 100% win record as a PL starter for Liverpool, means little in reference to his individual importance.
